The Missouri Library Association is fighting against Missouri House Bill 2044 which would appoint a “parent group” to pass into law censorship of library books. I can only hope the librarians and library patrons who fight against this censorship win this battle. #censorship #freedomtoread #ala #ireadbannedbooks

I picked up this cookbook at #ala this year. I am a vegetarian and this book had mostly things I cannot eat. But I liked the spice mixes, though.

This was a volume two, which I picked up at #ala and did not read the first of. It was for younger readers. The art was a little simple. But the story was cute.

drneutron @BookFreakOut Luminous Dead will probably be the first one I read, but unfortunately, I picked up 6 library books before I left (and have a seventh waiting for me). So I have to figure out how to interleave the two batches. 😁 5y

humouress I'm still working out how to use Litsy, but I'm finding it useful to put down thoughts/ quotes as I read. Then I can use them to write a review on LibraryThing (and then bring the review back here and work out how to condense it right down). (edited) 5y

Had an amazing day at #ALA today with @NAM99 . We ran into #alexbracken and walked the floor. I picked up a whole lot of books. Including one cookbook, 17 graphic novels, and 25 books (including the newest ruta sepyas)

I really tried to stick with diverse books, and there were SO many books in translation, books set outside the US, and #ownvoices. It was really great to see. I'm excited to read these. Exhausted, but glad I went. #ALA
