Summer is not quite over but I think my summer reading is. Here‘s a recap of my summery titles. Not as many as usual. Heavy on the Hilderbrand! Only two with #SummerintheTitle. Several summer books going back on the shelf until next year. #summerreading. Time to move on to some dark academia!

marleed My earlier thoughts were to get through EH‘s back catalog of beach reads before she publishes her last Nantucket book next year. But it looks like I‘m going to have to do a pile of extended spring break reading in ‘24 if I have any plans to accomplish that goal! 8mo

LeslieO @marleed I decided to read her backlist in order. But I think I‘ll go in reverse order or else even the recent ones will be dated by the time I get around to them. 8mo

A fun read set on Nantucket & Martha‘s Vineyard during the eventful summer of 69.
I enjoyed this story of a family and it‘s 3 generations of strong New England women, set against the backdrop of historic events. As everything changes around them, these women are finding their place in the world. Secrets are shared, friendships are made, heartbreaks endured and summer romances blossom. The chapter titles are fun too -song titles from the era! 🎶💕

The Greengage Summer | Rumer Godden

One last #summerinthetitle for me. This one was mentioned by @LeahBergen and it was on my shelf so I had to pick it up and before long I read the whole thing (again, I read it years ago). Definitely worth the reread. I love Rumer Godden, fiction and memoir. Thanks for making me do it, Leah! 😉
