It‘s a sweet story told from the viewpoint of a kitten abandoned in a rainstorm to be rescued by a shady looking character and maybe - maybe - learn to not judge a book by its cover.
It made me actually laugh out loud at least once a volume.
pickA gay man and an asexual woman marry. Why? Dunno. You can assume social pressure, but there is not much of a story, so far. As the first volume, it was mostly character introductions and back stories, but the main characters are very endearing. I don't normally seek out manga, but I'm interested in continuing this story.

I started The Apothecary Diaries last week, and I'm currently on vol. 2... LOVE IT. These are a few others I nabbed from the library as well. Will probably spend a good chunk of my day tomorrow reading them.
A not pictured shout out to, SHADOWS HOUSE by Somato because that started getting Really good in volume 4, and I'm also watching the anime.. however, I'm reading the series illegally on the internet, so shhhhhhh 🤫
pickThis was very cute! My husband really liked this very adorable series, so I thought I would check it out. Though action/fantasy/horror is more my taste, I enjoyed this little slice of life volume. 4⭐️

pickGOD, this volume made me so angry!! v2 focused on Conflict and here it was homophobia. And the author does such a good job at carrying my son through these turbulent times T-T!! I'm so happy to see the friendships he's forged in v1 having his back, his own self-discovery, and yes, even some of the DESERVED violence. AND THAT CLIFFHANGER!! This author has done it again 👏👏 this author interweaves all the stories so well :) I'm excited for v3!!
pickThis was so cute!! It's slower than what I like but honestly, I didn't mind. I loved the way we could see the character's mindsets change with every interaction. We get to see a first (?) love and the earnestness that comes w it, as well as the less fiery "it just happened" love, as well as the more platonic love with friendship. I'm really curious about the ending since it leaves on a cliffhanger #netgalleybacklog #joyousjanuary
pickIf you loved the vibes of Legends & Lattes and/or The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches you will love this as well. It's a cozy fantasy with whimsy, magic, and comedy. All the good things! It's a bit long (658 pgs), and that is why I was fluctuating between a 4-5 star read. But I went with 5 stars because of how delightful of an escape I felt it gave me. I will definitely be reading the next one. Def noticing a theme of my 2024 fav reads!
