The Salt Grows Heavy | Cassandra Khaw

This is a creepy story about a mermaid and a plague doctor who fall in love.
It's a small book, so it's a quick read.

Not Large Print. Yesterday I read the Book of Esther. I had forgotten that it was the genesis story for Purim. There is a handy dandy read so much per day plan to get through the Bible within a year and March 25, 26, and 27 were for Esther but it is such a short story 6 pages with one page inserted for a daily reflection {this one was for a Tuesday so obviously I am just ignoring the day} This version of the Bible was #RecommendedByAFriend

Lucy by the Sea: A Novel | Elizabeth Strout

Pickpick

It‘s another 5⭐️ read for me, this Lucy. She is just someone I like so much. How she approaches life, her past, her daughters and, very carefully, her maybe new future in Maine during the pandemic. I hope Elizabeth Strout will continue writing so beautiful about her and her wonderful family. Thank you for this gorgeous signed edition Helen 🤍

Live Up to Our Privileges by Wendy Ulrich
This was recommended by a dear friend of mine whom I recently reconnected with. I‘m so glad she sent it because I marked so many passages that expanded my understanding of the priesthood. #lds #ldsbooks

Mehso-so

I loved the first 30%, and then a thing happened and I was irritated at that and various other things throughout the rest of it. I'm starting to think that this kind of paranormal just really isn't my thing. Good vs evil, angels vs demons, light vs dark, etc can be so boring sometimes.

wanderinglynn Was the thing that irritated you that they changed Joanna to look like Olivia? Because I just finished this and that was weird & bugged me throughout the rest of the book. (edited) 5y
SarahSaysRead @wanderinglynn OMG YES!! That was so weird, I hated it. 5y
wanderinglynn I‘m glad I‘m not the only one that was disturbed by that. 5y
