There was less about Aix-en-Provence in this instalment than is usual for this series, but I enjoyed it anyway. An interesting mystery and some developments in the lives of the characters.

I ended up bailing on my February #DoubleSpin book. I really wanted to like this one, because I enjoyed the 1st in the series, The Vintage Caper. But this one was about property and development, and as much as I tried, I just couldn't get into it.

This was a slow burn mystery, and when I mean slow burn, think snails are faster. But the ending was worth it. All the little twists and turns were great.
Darcy and three of her best friends are called to France by her grandmother, who owns a Chateau and has some secrets thar she is ready to come clean on. Unfortunately, she dies before her secrets are out.

TODAY‘S PROMPT: LOST
Who wouldn‘t want to go to Paris and photograph carousels?
This book will appeal to those who enjoy France, antiques, warm-hearted characters, the Provencal countryside, chateaus, and European history during WWII.
A charming, heart-warming read.

Soft pick
If you want to know more about the pétanque game, it's an interesting read.
Some mistakes in the French parts of the book 🙄 and it's important to note that his time in France was in the 90s, in a very touristy village.
About to bail - why do they all sound the same and why are they all awful? Anyone who has read this are any of them redeemable?
