A sometimes difficult but necessary read. Gay's memoir tackles sexual violence, race, gender, relationships, and body image, and it's every bit as raw and real and heartbreaking as you would expect. #plannergirlbookbingo2017

Can't decide what to read next. Help me. (I'm leaning towards Lucy Barton. It looks like a quick read and I can use it for #plannergirlbookbingo2017)

Hollie I vote Dead Letters! 7y
Karen.reads @Hollie is it a light read? I'm also reading Les Mis so I kind of need something to balance that out. 7y
Hollie @HaveANamaste it's not light like a beach read, but it's sharp and intriguing. Most of the characters are deeply flawed (which I like) and it will keep you guessing 7y

Hollie For a light, super fun read, I'd recommend 7y
Karen.reads @hollie Dead Letters does look really great! I think I'm going to read Lucy Barton first since it's a short one, and then read Dead Letters. (I probably shouldn't have said I wanted something light. Just something not too challenging. 🙂) 7y
ReadingEnvy The Ferrante looks more daunting than it is, I found it pretty readable. 7y
Karen.reads @ReadingEnvy that's good to know. All of the books in the series are huge!! 7y

I just started a low-carb / ketogenic diet and this book was recommended by several websites. Also going to use it for #plannergirlbookbingo2017 for my food-related square.

susanw My hubby and I have been doing keto for the last 6 months. It takes a while to get used to having all the fat, but it does keep you satiated, good luck! (edited) 7y

It's always nice to follow up average writing with something a little more lyrical. This is gorgeous. This is for my Tournament of Books Long List square for #plannergirlbookbingo2017 #PGBB2017 #ToBLonglist

The last thing I need is more books about writing, but I couldn't resist both of these. The 3rd is because I needed a book with a flag on the cover for #plannergirlbookbingo2017 and now seems like a good time to learn more about the history of women in America. 📚

A different view point of Pride and Prejudice. This is book one in the trilogy. I really enjoyed it and going to look for the rest of the trilogy. 4 ☆ rating #PlannerGirlBookBingo2017 #AtoZChallenge

So excited because both these library holds came in, however I may have to start my challenges a bit early🙄😬I'm trying to hold off until January 1 but that will eat away a bunch of my reserve days😔 #booknerdproblems

DeborahSmall Which one is part of challenge? I read one of my challenge books last week! Totally forgot, but hadn't filled my form in and had few for 'G' need to get ink for printer tomorrow. I have 2 by Megan Abotton my AtoZ challenge 💞 7y
Cinfhen @DeborahSmall I'm attempting 4 diff reading challenges...You Will know Me covers 3 boxes in 3 diff challenges. It's my Y pick, a book about sports for Book Riot Read Harder and #8 verb for the Eclectic Readers. When Breathe Becomes Air is my W pick and fulfills a a memoir by a person of color for both #litsyreadingchallenge & #plannergirlbookbingo2017 7y
DeborahSmall Great I didn't realise When Breath becomes Air was by a poc. Do you know how the bingo card references work? For when we're following tags 7y

'Tis the season for 2017 Book Challenges! Join us for our second annual Planner Girl Book Bingo - we have a group on Facebook and I plan on interacting here as well since I ❤️Litsy! You can get the full card in our FB group (PDF) or using the link in my profile. What other book challenges are you doing in 2017? #PlannerGirlBookBingo2017 #PGBB2017

RebeccaLHoward I like these! For 2017, I am doing a random drawing from my TBR list. It includes some books from childhood that I still remember parts of (a thirty ish year brain-stick has to be a good story, right?), Specific books, unusual genres/niches and colors (ex. "Go to library and pick a green book" or "purple in the title".) I'd like to put some of these bingo ideas in my jar. 7y
