“There is no detective in England equal to a spinster lady of uncertain age with plenty of time on her hands.”

Had to pull over on my long drive because the rain was so bad. But it was such delightful company...

If you love Agatha Christie, you may want to check out this episode of the Read or Dead podcast! @bookriot

Susanita Is this the episode with @Liberty as a guest? I loved that one! 2w
Julsmarshall Yes! And @Liberty is awesome! I was late to this pod and have been going back and catching up 😄 2w

Not Aggie's best, especially among the amazing Marple series. It felt like it should have been a Poirot.

I‘m afraid this is the only book I‘ve read set in the Caribbean, but Dame Agatha Christie IS the Queen of Crime to this day.

CarolynM I loved the Julia McKenzie TV version of this with Robert Webb in the cast 3w
BarbaraBB I like the setting on a cruise ship for an Agatha Christie! I don‘t remember if I read it. Love the cover though - again! 💕 3w
Ruthiella Excellent interpretation of the prompt. Miss Marple is my favorite of Christie‘s sleuths! 3w
Cinfhen Dame Agatha was ahead of her time!!! Great choice and beautiful graphics 3w

Pickpick

I can't say why I enjoyed this one so much. I called nearly every twist & every secret identity. (I also called some twists & secret identities that failed to materialize, so maybe that's not so much impressive but good odds.) Still, with a fun premise & classically enjoyable Christie characters, the main downside was that there wasn't nearly enough Marple. But I still liked it, and would reread this one.

Wonderful as always! Agatha Christie always delivers a clever, enjoyable story that makes me feel like everything can be right in the world. Even where there is murder 😄 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #mystery

I guess Christie and I just aren‘t a great fit. I‘ve tried a handful now and I just don‘t get invested in the characters or mysteries. I do though enjoy the Ms. Marple TV adaptations - go figure.
