BarbaraTheBibliophage @tpixie I‘d like to the #NatBookFest also. But I‘d stay in DC overnight rather than drive/Metro it all in one day. Not sure when, though. It always seems to be over Mr. B‘s birthday weekend. 5y

tpixie Yes it‘s over Labor Day weekend. Someday I want to do the NYC #BookExpo & #BookCon I was hoping to this year, but a colleague at work left this Spring, so I‘m holding down the fort until a replacement comes in August! Can‘t go to NatBookFest this year - my daughter is due to have twins in October. I‘d hate if I were gone and they came really early! Oh well, it‘s always good to have wants!! 5y

It‘s been a week, Littens. So much going on—some happy and some sad. But this morning I‘m off to Gaithersburg, MD for their annual Book Festival. It‘s been on my radar since @MarticaMustRead posted about it last year. I‘m excited for author talks and book signings. Just hoping the rain doesn‘t get torrential!

BarbaraTheBibliophage @Buddys_Momma @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Thanks. I am home. Amazingly my DH volunteered to go the festival with me once he arrived. I felt well enough to give it a try. But scheduling got in the way of seeing the talks I wanted and also the books signed. Plus, I was just tired. So we came home after an hour or so. I‘m terribly disappointed since I was looking forward to it so much. Sh*t happens. 6y

She was the best- & a local! Needles to say, there was a big crowd for her & she didn't disappoint. Witty, self deprecating, & hilarious!
- She's already finished her book for 2018 & is currently working on another one!
- She won't let her hubby (creator of 'The Wire) edit her drafts anymore after he went to town with a red pen the one time she did ask him.😄

She had such a fun & informative author talk, was totally receptive, very approachable & funny! Definitely one of my favs from the festival.🌟😍
