The firecrackers have died down but I'm still awake so I'm catching up on photo challenges. My favorite bookish moments have been spent on Litsy (thank you all for them!) ❤️These were my best books of the year, in no particular order. Jumping on the #17in2017 bandwagon & it was a hard to cut off there-I could have easily kept going. 📚❤️

These were all discoveries, in a way or another, even Tolkien, though this was the third time l read LOTR and l've been a Tolkien fan for a couple of decades now. But reading it again after so many years was a true experience.
Dame Agatha was a welcome new-to-me author, while Nicola Upson was an unexpected discovery.
Loved all of these.

My top 17 reads of 2017 (doesn't include re-reads even though a few of them were defintely are top 10 material.) In no particular order. Some were audio listens (square book covers + The Vegetarian), rest were print. Overall an amazing reading year for me in terms of finding my kind of books. Very few misses this year, and even those were still decent.

CuriousG @Cinfhen For once the graphic was the easy part...picking the books was hard! I use the http://50bookpledge.ca website and it lets you create digital bookshelves that actually look like shelves. For some reason I just can't bring myself to use Goodreads. Litsy and 50bookpledge are enough for me 😊 6y

Here are my favorites of 2017! Five stars are rare for me, but these three deserve all the stars. The Lottery and Other Stories are chilling yet simple stories, How to Stay Alive has an inspirational and insightful message, and Jesus: The Way, The Truth, The Life is an amazingly educational chronology of Jesus‘s life (free to read at bit.ly/2jLhd1a). Can‘t recommend them highly enough!
