I am deeply alarmed by the state of the U.S. Many of you are, too. So, let‘s learn about fascism — a book club, perhaps. But, if nothing else, book suggestions. Let‘s start with WHAT WE KNEW: TERROR, MASS MURDER, AND EVERYDAY LIFE IN NAZI GERMANY.

It helped that while reading this book, I had Alexei's voice in my head, from deranged apoplexy to soft thoughtfulness. He's humorous, but as with much comedy adapted from standup routines, it's infinitely better hearing it being performed, so I again recommend checking out his radio show 📻🤣

One of those books that is highly relevant to today & the continued fight for voting rights. The book tells the story of several key people that fought against racism & white supremacy to bring voting rights to Black citizens of SC. Their model was used throughout the south to enshrine voting rights that many were denied for too long. As we see with gerrymandering today, people who are in power are fearful when people can use their vote.

I wish this kind of read was available when I was a teenager!

As a book about a girl and her dragon, this book was splendid fun. As a book about an indigenous island girl and her endangered species dragon, this is the kind of book I've been waiting for...as an indigenous reader, this fantasy is a treasure 📚🐉💖.

I prefer books without battles, but some may find this a bit slow paced.
