In an Instant | Suzanne Redfearn
Pickpick

I was sucked in immediately! The language, sentence structure and delivery is so much of this book; it is poignant, gripping, heartbreaking, and utterly brilliant. The description of this book is wrong, Jack does not accuse Mo of anything, no one does because young Mo is the heroine. Sweet, young, brave, amazing Mo. book #27 in 2022

Book #27 for 2022. I got this because I like other books that Wil Wheaton has narrated & I love a good celebrity memoir. I would have found this very interesting since I don't know a lot about him. I realize that Just a Geek was written in a different time, using a vernacular that is out dated. Every time he used a word (ie lame) he made a HUGE deal & apologized for using it. He did this 27 times, he counted, it was overkill & distracting.

Happy to be finished this series. Harris is great at writing unconventional mystery but her characterization in this series is not as good as im used to. Lots of holes attributed to the backstory that never get satisfactorily explained. #27-2022

22 #27 I love Kate Quinn. Probably one of my favorite authors. While I don‘t think this is her best it is very good.

Book #27 of the year: “You Better Be Lightning” by Andrea Gibson

I had to wait to write this until I stopped crying. Their poetry is complex and beautiful, often painful, always honest. They inspire me to write and open to the beauty and creativity just waiting for me to stop being afraid. If you‘re queer, read Andrea Gibson. If you‘re not, probably read them anyway.
