Pickpick

It was a pick for me. Not great literature to be sure. I have not read Persuasion, I'm not sure how this compares. Anyway, I thought it good, escapist fluff made even more fun by #LMPBC commentary 😁

Chrissyreadit Good! I was worried I was too chatty and explosive. 4y
Sace @Chrissyreadit I've worried about doing the same with every book we read! 😂 4y
Laughterhp I‘m glad you liked it! Now I can‘t wait to read everyone‘s comments 😂 4y

I pulled this out of the mail yesterday @Chrissyreadit! I'm looking forward to reading it. I had so much fun reading with #GroupI for round 9 of #LMPBC.

@TheAromaofBooks @Laughterhp

TheAromaofBooks haha this one wasn't my favorite of the group, so enjoy my snarky comments 😂 4y
Sace @TheAromaofBooks I was laughing almost immediately! Sometimes it's the less enjoyable books that generate the best comments. 4y
TheAromaofBooks Right?? Maybe next time I should suggest a round where everyone picks a book they know is going to make them aggravated haha 4y
Sace @TheAromaofBooks that's actually kind of brilliant! 4y

I think there were moments I enjoyed it. It dragged a bit. There could have been more to the story and less to the book. That being said it has a NY feel- sarcasm towards the elite, blue collar done good story. Also I loved Queens College- it was an amazing grad program (just sayin)
#lmpbc

TheAromaofBooks Love your mug!!! 4y
Sace Has this been mailed yet? No rush, I'm just worried because I still haven't received it if it has been mailed. (Or am I confused as usual? 😂) 4y
Chrissyreadit @Sace unfortunately I totally forgot it was not mailed! It was moved from my table with packages to a bookshelf- by mistake and I will be mailing it tomorrow. I‘m so sorry! I try not to be a slacker but I completely failed. 😞 4y
Sace @Chrissyreadit omigosh no problem at all! 4y

1. No photo challenges for me- but swap related photos have been fun.
2. Literally (🤣) a bookcase for nonfiction, a bookcase for historical fiction, a bookcase for sci-fi/fantasy, a bookcase for mystery, a bookcase for #BOTM and several bookcases for children‘s, middle grade snd YA.
Happy Thursday- want to play? @Avanders @Butterfinger @Laughterhp @Sace @TheAromaofBooks @LibrarianRyan @ElizaMarie

#BookReport - Only four books read this week, which is a little low for me. I'm finding the tagged book to be somewhat slow going - not a bad book, just not right for me. However, I'm enjoying leaving snarky comments for the fellow members of my #LMPBC group! 😂

Skipped the Binchy book - it just wasn't the right fit for right now, so I'm setting it aside for later. All decent reads this week, but nothing that I LOVED.

@Cinfhen

Cinfhen Decent is good...we can‘t LOVE every book....that‘s what makes the good ones SPECIAL 4y
TheAromaofBooks @Cinfhen - That's true!! And I'm looking forward to my next read, which is the latest in a mystery series I've been really enjoying, set here in my home state!! 4y

Eh, this book was okay. Not really what I thought it was going to be. It was less about her relationships and more about what colleges students were trying to get into. I also don‘t think this book aged very well. I found a couple of things problematic. I‘ve also never read Persuasion.

I‘m not going to say anything more because this is my pick for #LMPBC and I‘m the first to read it.

This also checks off a #BookSpinBingo square 2 down!

TheAromaofBooks Sounds intriguing!! 4y
Sace I still can't wait to read it... 4y
Laughterhp @TheAromaofBooks This went into the mail today! Should be there by Tuesday! 4y
TheAromaofBooks Yay!! I'll keep an eye out for it!! 4y
