Born in the wrong decade —
awkward, out of place — ready
to travel through time.

Been feeling this way since high school. Where‘s my time machine? 🤔

#haikuhive #haikuaday #poetry #retroart

AnnCrystal A time machine would be lovely. I've been obsessed with time machines since I was a kid. I even wrote one into my duology. When a teenager, I once worked on dollar store clocks until I figured out how to make them tick backwards 😂. 👏🏼🐝👍🏼☺️🐝💝. 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal that is so cool!! I‘ve been obsessed with time traveling since watching Back To The Future when I was a kid (over and over and over again 😵‍💫) — that and when Steve Urkel made a time machine and became Stefan Urkelle 😆😅😅 And now I get my fix with Outlander and Kelley Armstrong books. Nerds unite!! 🤓📚🤓🤗♥️♥️♥️ 2mo

AnnCrystal 👏🏼🤩 love the “Back to the Future“ movies 💝💝💝... love almost any time travel movie and story.

Some time ago, I was excited about the Outlander series showing reruns on TV. When I started watching it...it took way too long to figure out that I was actually watching Highlander 😂 which I used to watch as a kid, so don't ask me why i was so easily fooled 😂🎬💝...

AnnCrystal I will catch Outlander one day...😂...or I will stumble across a book. 2mo
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal lol you just made me snort!! 😅😅😅 I can so see myself doing something like that. Outlander will scratch all of your time traveling itches. I love Diana Gabaldon‘s spin on time travel. Very clever and high stakes, smack dab in the middle of all of these major historical events. Very spicy if you don‘t mind such things! 2mo
AnnCrystal @JenlovesJT47 😂👌🏼 I can't wait to be able to watch Outlander 🤩👍🏼🎬💝...I searched clips in the past, and it seem oh too good indeed ☺️💝. 2mo
dabbe I feel the same way! Oh, and OUTLANDER. I have all of the (ahem) interesting sections marked for rereading purposes. 🤩😍🤩 2mo
lil1inblue I often feel that way! What a great expression of it! 💓 2mo
julieclair I love the way you design your posts. You definitely have artistic - and literary - flair. 💙🐝💙 2mo

Pickpick

New student Ginny Lu Culpepper is a walking stereotype. She is from the Great Smoky Mountains & has a thick southern accent. Ellen takes an instant disliking to her & humiliates her whenever she gets the chance. Liz of course befriends her. What would we do without Saint Liz? 😆 She talks Ginny Lu into entering the Arts & Crafts fair at school & Ginny Lu ups and runs away because she thinks people are making fun of her. It all works out in the ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 End & Ginny Lu even wins first place in the Arts & Crafts fair. Color me shocked! 3⭐️ #SweetValley #SweetValleyTwins #SVT #twins #nostalgia 10mo

Pickpick

Ginny Lu Culpepper from Stony Gap, TN moves to #SweetValley to stay with her aunt & makes immediate enemies with Ellen Riteman. Ellen & Lila especially make fun of Ginny Lu‘s “hillbilly” ways— all the more once Ginny Lu befriends Ellen‘s horse who is pregnant & being snappish. Despite support from Liz and her mother, Ginny Lu wants to return home where no one makes fun of her accent. But she stays for the horse & wins best booth for her carvings!
