41/2⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Some of the best reads Iv had so far this year have taken me by surprise and not my usual picks so just goes to show ! Anyway one of the best re telling Iv ever read and with a great feminist twist , Romeo needs a sharp knee in the balls , he‘s a rogue a Willoughby a wickham Wev all known them in real life too , a great story brilliantly written highly recommended
I‘m not sure we can trust goodreads there‘s some fantastic books 📚 on there not rated as highly as you‘d expect but then again reading is such a personal thing ; anyway I‘m only 50 odd pages into this and I‘m loving 🥰 it , if it hadnt have been recommended to me I doubt I‘d have picked it up , must admit I can‘t remember Rosaline in Romeo and Juliet so reading the play alongside it

One of my #Goldsboro books came and I have inhaled this one. It was so very good. A little dark, a whole lot entertaining. I highly recommend this one if you're a fan of retelling books or books based off classics .
This a well written, compelling and different retelling. Romeo is shown in quite a disturbing light, definitely not a romantic hero or a pleasant person. He‘s depicted as a predatory older man. I did get somewhat irritated with both Rosaline and Juliet at times. It takes a long time for the penny to drop for them to realise just what a rotter Romeo really is. I like the alternative ending, not as tragic. An enjoyable and engaging read.#Pigeonhole
