Part of the Library of Luminaries series, this illustrated biography of Jane Austen includes small snippets about her life. The illustrations are charming and it‘s a short, breezy read. Using new Jane Austen socks for size comparison as kitties 😾 all refused to cooperate.

Fritz and I quite enjoyed this little book in the Library of Luminaries series of illustrated biographies. Short snippets of biographical info and quotes interspersed with delightful watercolor drawings. Surprisingly detailed while quick and pretty. A nice intro to Austen's life, or a fun refresher. Thumbs up!

This book is delightful for an Austen fan! The illustrations are lovely and the script is fun.

I read my second Library of Luminaries book yesterday. This one is about Jane Austen, and although I didn't find it as exciting as Frida Kahlo's (the illustrations in that one were so bright and whimsical, whereas for Jane her life was obviously different), I did, once again, love the format. Bite sized info regarding her life and also quotes from her correspondence peppered throughout. I was touched by this one from her sister after her death.
