This was a quick and entertaining read. I think it had a lot of potential, but there was too much going on and not enough development to really make this stand out. Doesn‘t help that I read it right after Spinning Silver (which I thought was fabulous)!

Guys I might be in trouble. I can‘t decide what to get.

My sister in law and I are debating. Hummmmm. If only my wallet was infinite.

Texreader My vote‘s for Harkness! 6y
LibrarianRyan @Texreader in in line with it in my hand. With 30% + 20% was the best time to do it. 6y
Booksblanketsandahotbeverage I feel your pain - I always have a hard time narrowing it down and deciding. Random thought- I thought you didn't like the first court of thorns and roses book? Or is that for your sister in law? 😁 6y

Texreader @LibrarianRyan yay!! I need to get my copy!! 6y
LibrarianRyan @BookHoarder32 it was alright. But yeah. Sis in law was asking about it. I told her to borrow book one first. She also had the pile of true haunted house. 6y
Crazeedi Isn't it wonderful though to get to pick from so many awesome choices! 6y
LibrarianRyan @Crazeedi yes it is. 😁 6y

Hey Book Butterflies!

Just grabbed a #free copy of Fields of Fire (The Nisseria Chronicles # 1.5) by Hannah West. Looks like a little something for readers as they wait for the book 2 in the series, Realm of Ruins, which releases Dec. 4th.
If you're a fan of the series or hope to start it (like me), you can grab a copy here: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/601985/fields-of-fire-by-hannah-west/97...

A recent read of mine. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this world and the main protagonist of this book. I‘m excited to get into the companion novel, Realm of Ruins. Releasing October 2. 😊

Such a great combination of multiple fairytales. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys fairytale re-tellings.

This cover is sooooo pretty! I actually really enjoyed this one, but I know a lot of people weren't fans. There was much that could have been improved, and I just wanted so much more when it came to descriptions.

Christina.termini @curlyhairedbookworm I know it's so pretty! I admit it. I buy books because they have beautiful covers (tho I didn't buy this one lol. It's an arc). 7y

I really liked this book. I didn't go into it with any expectations. In fact the description didn't fully interest me either. It was magic with war and a bit of fairytales mixed in. I'd definitely recommend reading this.

Absolutely loved this book! It's got a few fairy tales entwined but from a POV you don't often see. Loved the characters, world and how much action and intrigue was involved!

Fun and different approach to a few fairytales Not as gritty as I typically like, but that's YA for ya ;) an enjoyable and quick read!

I didn't even rate this one! I adored the fairytale retelling components, loved the characters, the magic, the world, but it was just SO much crammed into 350 pages that I could never really get into the story or care enough about the characters. I do love a standalone, but I found myself mourning the fact this wasn't at least a trilogy so it could have had the space to do it justice.

Cinfhen Another winning photo😀 8y
readingjedi I love your photos! Thank you. 8y
Vinjii Gorgeous photo!! 8y
QueenOfWands I felt that way about The Forbidden Wish, as well. So much crammed into something so short. Beautiful photo! Thank you! 8y
