I will be doing the #FriendsPickForMe challenge again this year. My mom was willing to give me a book to start off for January… And of course it‘s Danielle Steel 😮‍💨. What can I say… She likes what she likes! I‘m also doing a classic countdown challenge where I take one of my top 12 classic literature TBR to read each month. 📚Would love to hear about which classics you would use📖

Roary47 I‘ve been working on my classics as well. Two short ones are Of Mice and Men (lots of triggers), and The Old man and the Sea. If you like dystopian like you know I do 1984 or Brave New World are my picks, but my favorite classic is wuthering heights. 🥰 4mo

Ruthiella There are so many classics I‘ve yet to read! Of the authors I have read, my favorites are Charles Dickens and Anthony Trollope. 4mo

Littlewolf1 @Roary47 are both on my list. You‘re the one that act gave me the idea to do the classics. So I‘m gonna to pick 12 each year and see about getting them read.

Finished this one last night, and really enjoyed it. It might have been the first Danielle Steel book I‘ve read where she didn‘t kill off a main character, lol. Would definitely recommend 👰🏻

The cats are pouting cause they miss Nolan, who works out of town for two weeks at a time. 🥺They‘ve been laying in bed all day, on his side of the bed, so I came and snuggled with them, and fell asleep to the tagged audiobook. Now to rewind, and start over. 😅

Crazeedi See that's what I'm afraid of with an audio book, that I'd start it and fall asleep!!! I have stayed away from them because of that. But I think when I start working outside etc I may be able to do 5y

Clwojick @Crazeedi I love audiobooks! Especially when I‘m doing household chores like the dishes, dusting or vacuuming. I also love having my headphones in and making headway on a book when I‘m walking to work, or just feel like going out to get fresh air. I do also use them to help myself fall asleep though. It often takes me hours to “shut off my mind” and I find that having my headphones in helps me fall asleep quicker. I just throw the timer on. 🎧 5y

Clwojick @Crazeedi Although I will fully admit to staying up ALL night to finish an audiobook because it was so intense that I could keep resetting the timer, and pretending to myself that I would fall asleep by the time it shuts of the next time. 😂😂 5y

Clwojick @Crazeedi This is a screenshot of the Libby Overdrive app. The moon at the top is the timer, and the little dial beside it is the speed. Sometimes an audio won‘t quite feel right and it‘ll be hard to get into, but if you adjust the speed to match your tempo it makes all the difference. Most books I tend to listen to at 2.5 x the speed, but if I‘m going to sleep I‘ll normally bring it down to 1.75 so I don‘t have to focus so hard. 😂 (edited) 5y

After almost three weeks, I am finally home and a married woman. Cancun was fun, but I‘m thrilled to be home. Got some good reading time in during our travels and most importantly fell in love with my now husband all over again. Sharing a photo because we are so blessed to have had such an amazing adventure and who better to share with than my book loving friends?

Today marks my Pops and Grams 57th and our 7th wedding anniversary. I found out yesterday while getting a bunch of photos from my cousin that we‘d taken the same photo, 50 years apart. We don‘t wear shoes in our weddings because my Grams broke her foot trying to impress my Pops the night before their wedding. The tradition lives on ❤️. Happy Anniversary to the three most important people in my world. I‘d be lost without you.
