1. Hard to say—The Ramona series, babysitters club, and Nancy Drew were the first one that I read obsessive. With lifetime love of mysteries, read a lot of series over the years: inspector Gamache, inspector Kubu, Precious Ramotswe. Outlander got me back into series read a couple years ago.

I loved this series when I was a kid!! Kristy, Marie Anne, Claudia, Stacey and Dawn are the perfect example of #Girlfriends!
(I don't have the entire collection, but all the 40+ books that I own are in some boxes.. So no picture, just the book cover of the Italian edition)

My mom is a huge reader. We share books all the time. Unfortunately I was slow to learn to read. I never actually noticed I was slower until every awesome teacher continued to remind me I was the dumb kid in class. Oh well, once it clicked, I never stopped. 🙃

She's a Newbery award winner. Critically acclaimed for Rain Reign. But to me, she will always be the author of the series I read voraciously from the ages of 10-12, The Babysitters Club. Ann M. Martin, y'all. I met her at a conference and begged her to take a picture with me. She graciously agreed.
