I hate to be that person but, that‘s Dawn? She‘s a blonde in the books isn‘t she?

kimmypete1 Yes. She‘s adorable, but not as “California” as I remember her being in the books. 4y
AutumnRLS I think the public view of what constitutes a "Californian" has changed over the years. I agree that she's less of a hippie than portrayed in the books, but I love that she's Latinx. I really love how they were able to update things, but still manage to really catch the spirit of the books. 4y

Stacks like this take me back to my own #halcyon days. Like so many, I would read these books endlessly, and now I've been watching the Netflix series endlessly, too! Old habits die hard. #BeautifulWords #bsc #babysittersclub

1. Hard to say—The Ramona series, babysitters club, and Nancy Drew were the first one that I read obsessive. With lifetime love of mysteries, read a lot of series over the years: inspector Gamache, inspector Kubu, Precious Ramotswe. Outlander got me back into series read a couple years ago.
2. Plenty of mysteries, Maisie dobbs
3. Most read library books
4 Yup. But we aren‘t good at meeting. So busy!

1. The Babysitters Club. Goosebumps. Captain Underpants series. Nancy Drew!
2. Ah so many! Rook - Sharon Cameron (I guess)
3. Professor Umbridge! 🐸
4. I don‘t know if I have one...
5. If you‘re reading this, consider yourself tagged (it give me anxiety to pick one person)

I loved this series when I was a kid!! Kristy, Marie Anne, Claudia, Stacey and Dawn are the perfect example of #Girlfriends!
(I don't have the entire collection, but all the 40+ books that I own are in some boxes.. So no picture, just the book cover of the Italian edition)

My mom is a huge reader. We share books all the time. Unfortunately I was slow to learn to read. I never actually noticed I was slower until every awesome teacher continued to remind me I was the dumb kid in class. Oh well, once it clicked, I never stopped. 🙃

Lauren_reading Ugh! I get so mad at teachers like that!! Glad you got past it and love reading!! 7y
Sue I'm glad that didn't make you hate reading. ❤️ 7y
Hooked_on_books I'm glad you persevered! What a tragedy when teachers, the ones who should be noticing when help rather than insults should be given, are so blind and uncaring. 7y
Skeebies05 @laurenreads @sue @Hooked_on_books It does make me sad to think about all the kids this could deter from reading. I got lucky 😊 7y

Am very bad and don't actually use my local library very much anymore, so posting a pic of my childhood library for #mylocallibrary #riotgrams Now closed, this was in Gilford Northern Ireland. Always allowed extra books on my tickets, and they let me use the stamp

She's a Newbery award winner. Critically acclaimed for Rain Reign. But to me, she will always be the author of the series I read voraciously from the ages of 10-12, The Babysitters Club. Ann M. Martin, y'all. I met her at a conference and begged her to take a picture with me. She graciously agreed.

BookBabe Oh, I adored those books as a child! 8y
