I usually don‘t do this, but I read this final book in the series first! I guess you know everyone will end up together anyways so there aren‘t any spoilers. Overall I enjoyed the story, though not as much as some of Christina Lauren‘s other characters. There was a fun premise though, and I love that the characters have to challenge their assumptions and expectations for their lives.

A wonderful ending to this series and I loved all the epilogues at the end that brought everyone back together.

I'm currently reading over 20 books. This seems like...slightly too many. I'm picking up the tagged book to purposefully read (after I get home from work tonight) since it seems like the quickest one I can finish, and I'm hoping that that will spur me on to pick up physical books more often. Partly it's bc I can't stop watching "Escape to the Country" once I start (and I can't NOT watch), & partly bc I'm decluttering. Ugh. Hoping this plan works!

britt_brooke 20?! I can barely handle 2-3. 😩 7y
Lreads Good luck! 👍 7y
saresmoore You can do it! And don't be afraid to bail or reshelve something. This happens to me a lot, can you tell? 😬What matters is what gives you life and makes you feel purposeful! ♥️♥️ 7y

LauraBeth I usually can have a few books going but right now I just don't have the emotional bandwidth - so I've had to do what @saresmoore suggests and bail and re-shelve for another time and focus on one at a time. Sometimes I just need to recognize the season I'm in and course correct some behaviors to better go with the current. If not, then I tend to get - ah - frustrated with myself 😂 7y
Zelma I agree with @saresmoore about reshelving or bailing. It sounds like rather than having 20 books you feel good about having active, it's causing stress. If reading it stressing you out or not enjoyable, don't force yourself. Read what you want, when you want and don't feel guilty about watching tv instead. (edited) 7y
Megabooks That's a lot! I can only manage three. If you feel like you need to cut down, trust your instincts! 7y
drbethandherkindle Hold up-are we the same person? I just found Escape to the Country on Netflix and I just can't stop watching! 7y
LauraBrook @drbethandherkindle Hah, we might be! I'm 50+ episodes into a 216 episode playlist on YouTube. So far, only 1 overlap from the selection Netflix chose! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Nice to meet a fellow Escape addicted! 7y
drbethandherkindle A YouTube playlist?! Good to know I can watch different ones-I'm almost finished with the Netflix episodes 7y
LauraBrook @britt_brooke @thirstyreader Thanks, I think I may need it! @saresmoore Thank you for the sage advice, as always. A few may get reshelved, but I'm going to try and work through them. My shelf of "stalled" reads is a bit full. ?? 7y
LauraBrook @LauraBeth Hi sweetheart. I totally get not having the emotional bandwidth for lots of stuff (great phrase, by the way). A small course correction will probably be happening when I get home from work later. I'm liking everything I'm reading, so even picking the one to power through was hard. Oy. I think I'm nuts but glad for the company/reassurance! ❤️ 7y
LauraBrook @Zelma But feeling guilty for no good reason is a favorite of mine - apparently! I'm trying to get better at being nicer to myself. Recognizing the problem and then picking it apart so it doesn't take root. Plus after 15 years of book groups and school before that, I still slip into "have to" reading too easily. That's another thing to try and work on. ? You're right, and thank you! 7y
LauraBrook @Booksandcooks For awhile I was at about 5, and that was good. (It was various platforms, so it made it easy to just read whatever I was by - audio in car, kindle in bed, etc.) A couple of times a year I end up starting multiple books and then not really reading any of them, when really I should probably just shelve some and come back later. Reading quirks are weird! 7y
LauraBrook @drbethandherkindle Yep yep! I've already watched the Netflix ones 3 times (twice by myself and once working through them with my mom, who doesn't have streaming). So happy for the YouTube app/whatever on my Roku! The quality gets a little funky for a minute sometimes but always corrects itself. Fun fact: obsessing with this show has led to MANY hours of searching for houses on RightMove. 🙄😳😂 7y

So I am determined to finish a bunch of series this year. This was a good end to the series. Pippa cracked me up making me laugh out loud more than once. I am happy there were epilogues for all the characters leaving the end of the series sad but satisfying. #lastinseries #finished #ermadlibs

While this was a pleasant read, I wish the author duo would have focussed more on the principal two characters. I feel that only the readers who have read the whole series will be able to appreciate this one more. I'm one of those people, but I still feel that maybe the other couples were too present in this book.
Still, a lovely story!

If you name your character Jensen, this is who I will picture. Now matter how you describe him. And thats okay with me.

I am so sad this is the end of thia series. So not ready for it. The writing duo of Christina Lauren can write a romance novel, that's for sure. Hopefully, they don't make me wait too long before their next book.

The final novel in the contemporary romance series by the writing duo Christina Lauren is something for Fans Only as the cast of characters includes couples from the other books in the Beautiful series; and it's told in the authors' signature style of alternate him/her POVs; but it's overall disappointing. The main couple just don't seem to have any real chemistry, and the sex scenes are pedestrian. Series ended w/tired writing instead of a bang

I cant lie, I was a bit disappointed in this book. It was fine, but the story just didnt hold up to the other books in this series.

I do like the pairing of Pippa and Jensen, but overall this just fell short. Usually with CL books, there is a fun romantic story with lots of sex scenes. This one was seriously lacking in the sex scenes portion, and lets be honest: those are my favorite parts.

So yeah, this one fell flat for me.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! My obsession with this series has never dimmed and the last one did not disappoint. The characters are always fun, smart and the romance is such a fun ride. I'm going to miss the 'Beautifuls' The narration by Sebastian York and Grace Grant was absolutely perfect.

I could not believe this series came to an end. But i have to say i was not disappointed!! (i usually get bored or annoyed with characters in such a long series) but i fell in love and stayed in love. Jensen and Pippa seem like such an odd couple but you know what they say opposites attract and boy do they!! and i love how the last word to the book was "beautiful" i literally sighed at that, great way to end it once again christina lauren did it!

And this is where it ends. I've been a fan of the Beautiful series since the very beginning. I love, love, love the characters that have inhabited it's pages & continued to do so with this book. Jensen & Pippa are so unique & fun & delightful in their very own way. I really enjoyed the book & I absolutely love this series. Bittersweet ending for sure but still so very sweet!

Stealing this from their author page. I couldn't resist. Will and Hanna are my absolute favorite "Beautiful" pair. I love all the pairs but there's something extra special about Will and Hanna for me.

October 4th can't come soon enough! ❤️❤️
