Once again, home run with the Vanderbeekers! We all really enjoyed this installment and now we have to wait until September for the 4th. 😭 nooooooo.

Pictured are the chocolate caramel sea salt cookies character Oliver is obsessed with - they are tasty but really sweet & chewy with the caramel bits. Perfect for kids!

I didn‘t quite love it as much as book one, but then it‘s really hard to live up to that. This is really very excellent middle grade novel - kids on a quest to fix a problem they created. Lovely chaos.

Tamra I like that, “lovely chaos” 😁 3mo

It's finally here!

Anyone else have really slow library systems? I was the first one to put a hold on this before it came out. It was released September 17. But it took my library this long to get it into circulation! They get really popular books out right away, but everything else seems to take at least a month. I find it very annoying!

xicanti Mine‘s the same. They‘re especially slow with comics and anything YA. 4mo
Tamra We are loving it! 4mo
mrp27 Mine can be slow at times. Can't wait to get to this one! 4mo

We began our new read aloud last night and the first chapter doesn‘t disappoint! Karina‘s pacing is perfect to keep kids‘ attention and the characters are so personable & relatable. This series has the best covers!. 😁

Jerdencon I‘m reading this right now with my 10 year old son! We love this series - so well done! 😀 4mo

Exciting new book mail! Daughter immediately confiscated Guts and the Vanderbeekers will be our next read aloud whenever we finally finish Restart (which we‘re liking). It takes us a long time to get thru a book a chapter at a time. They are just so pooped by bedtime. 😴

Tamra I should add with all the book cover posts, this series has amazing looking & feeling jacket covers! 💜 5mo

I absolutely love (like hardcore love) this series. Everything about it is wonderful, and I recommend them to anyone with kids. Third book arrived on my nook and I‘m ready to jump in.
