The Heart Between Us: Two Sisters, One Heart Transplant, and a Bucket List | Lindsay Harrel
Lindsay Harrel presents a powerful story of healing, adventure, and learning how to live life to the fullest. Megan Jacobs always wished for a different heart. Her entire childhood was spent in and out of hospitals, sitting on the sidelines while her twin sister Crystal played all the sports, got all the guys, and had all the fun. But even a heart transplant three years ago wasnt enough to propel Megans life forward. Shes still working as a library aide in her small Minnesota hometown and living with her parents, dreaming of the adventure she plans to take once shes well enough. Meanwhile, her sister is a successful architect with a handsome husband and the perfect lifeor so Megan thinks. When her heart donors parents give Megan their teenage daughters journalcomplete with an unfulfilled bucket listMegan connects with the girl she meets between the pages and is inspired to venture out and check off each item. Caleba friend from her years in and out of the hospitalreenters her life and pushes her to find the courage to take the leap and begin her journey. Shes thrown for a loop when Crystal offers to join her for reasons of her own, but she welcomes the company and the opportunity to mend their tenuous relationship. As Megan and Crystal check items off the bucket list, Megan fights the fears that have been instilled in her after a lifetime of illness. She must choose between safety and adventure and learn to embrace the heart shes been given so that she can finally share it with the people she loves most.

Megan had a heart transplant three years ago but hasn‘t really been living. When she‘s given her heart donor‘s journal, she‘s inspired by the girl‘s bucket list and plans the trip of a lifetime. Surprisingly, Megan‘s estranged twin, Crystal, who grew up healthy and now has a seemingly perfect life, joins her sister. As the two visit cities across Europe, can they mend their damaged relationship? Enjoyed this one!

This is one of my favorite books so far this year! "What if life isn't about that big moment, but a lot of little moments that add up along the way?" I've often wondered this very thing ? A very well written page turner that really makes you think. A how to manual on how to actually live your life, not just be alive. Just an excellent book! A huge thanks to author Lindsay Harrel for sending it to me, it will be shared. ?

I prefer genres about family, sensitive topics, and storylines that provoke personal thought and reflection, and this fit into each of these categories. The characters were constructed and presented in such a talented way and I felt their sadness, their defeat, their courage, their hope, and their love. Though there were multiple storylines occurring, they were entwined easily and seamlessly. This was an easy and enjoyable read!

My oldest babysat today so the Mr. and I could have a little time out of the house. We had a wonderful lunch and I got to spend some time in B&N and an indy bookshop and came home with these two that have been on my wishlist for a bit.

RuthyBux Longbourn has been on my TBR pile for a while! 6y

Reading this ARC provided by Netgalley while my boys play with friends at the park on this sunny (but unfortunately not very warm) day.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through #NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I adored this book. It was heartwarming and had me almost ugly crying at times. It also makes me want to fulfill my own bucket list. Faith and God are brought up quite a bit, but that didn‘t bother me at all, I just loved everything about it.

I got this #arc from #netgalley and I figured it was romance, but turns out it‘s religious fiction. It‘s not in your face about it though and so far it‘s really good.
