Stacks and stack of #cozymystery books and only these three had #murder in the title! I‘m shocked! #scarathlonphotochallenge #scarathlon2021 @Linsy @StayCurious @Clwojick

Confession: I love Laura Child‘s Tea Shop Mysteries. They‘re not my normal “type.” But I‘m in love with all things tea and while the stories are okay enough, I really stay for the descriptions. And the tea. And the folks working in the tea shop. And a few moments‘ escape from the day.

Time for brunch!!! In #NYC today for one of my book clubs, and I brought a colleague along with me who is intrigued by the club and the city, which she‘s only been to a couple times. So, we went British! Got the Full Monty here: Irish backed bacon, masher, eggs, tomato, seven-grain toast, oj, and chocolate-vanilla tea. MMMmmm 😋! Happy eats! 😎👌🏻

AmyRebecca Hope you enjoyed your breakfast! 5y
Avanders 🤭🤭 of course it has other meanings, but my first understanding of the Full Monty is that it means fully nude! 🤣🤣 wondering just what kind of meal you had there! 😉😂 (edited) 5y
MrBook @CoffeeCatsBooks Aye 😁! @Avanders I can only go by the menu 😂👏🏻. 5y

Book 3 #cozyinthesun. Another good installment from this series. I wish her tea shop really existed. I try to drink the book title tea, but hot English breakfast tea doesn‘t work for me on a 100 degree day so I am drinking sweet tea. Laura Childs is a great cozy mystery author. I love this Tea shop mystery series and her “egg” series. @Librarybelle @ferskner

Librarybelle I own a few of each of these series and haven‘t had a chance to read them. They‘re popular at my library! 5y
ferskner I love this series! It's so goofy though: when I lived near Charleston, I didn't read any of these and missed out on opportunities to soak up the atmosphere! 5y

Laura Childs' writing sometimes sounds like she swallowed a thesaurus. Which can get annoying. But this series speaks to my tea-drinking soul 😍☕️
