Oh boy. This might seem like a depressing quote but I found such comfort in it. Nuala and I are simpatico.

wanderinglynn I identify with that so much. 6y
Suet624 @wanderinglynn you must be part of my tribe then. 💕 6y

batsy Yes 💔 6y
Suet624 @Reggie I‘m a lucky person with a good support system. But I‘m a seeker, trying to find the love of the Divine. That‘s what I‘m homesick for. 💕 it‘s a deep yearning that leaves me restless no matter where I live. 6y
ValerieAndBooks She jumped out at me at the used bookstore yesterday! Because I remember you reading this. The ones I found (not this title) both look very good. 6y
Suet624 @ValerieAndBooks I‘m so excited for you. 6y

I was delighted to discover this memoir that I read on my vacation was available through the library as an audiobook. I have had a book hangover since reading this a number of weeks ago. It rocked my world and I‘m still a bit tippy. This book really isn‘t for everyone, but it sure has settled into my being. Now, listening to her Irish lilt as she reads to me on my walk, I am delighted to once again be with Nuala.

batsy What gorgeous sights on your walk 💚 6y
Suet624 @batsy I‘ve always loved that little red house in the background. 😃 6y

Pickpick

Been dealing with Lyme Disease & then a beach vacation. A photo of just some of my family above, with all 4 of my grandkids. This book was a horrible/terrific beach read. A sequel to her first memoir. One chapter about a love affair had me thinking all week about people I hadn‘t thought of for years. People I have loved with such a passion and then left behind. The book triggered feelings of regret, hope, & loneliness & I want to read it again. 😀

Cinfhen Sorry about the Lyme Disease but everything else sounds perfect!! 6y
Suet624 @Cinfhen Thanks. Sometimes Lyme just takes me by surprise, throws me on the floor and stomps on me. Hard. But now all is well and life is sweet. 6y
AmyG Sue...so happy to hear you are feeling better. What a beautiful family. ❤️ 6y

batsy Beautiful family! Love the pictures. Sorry about dealing with illness, but I'm glad you're feeling better now ❤️ 6y
Avanders Happy to hear you're feeling better 💖💖 6y
Suet624 @AmyG Amy, thank you for your email. I‘ll write when I get back home. (edited) 6y
Suet624 @batsy thanks so much, Batsy. You know it‘s bad when even looking at Litsy is too hard to do. 6y
Suet624 @Avanders thanks so much!! 6y
DivineDiana What a lovely family! 6y
BarbaraBB Off topic but I can‘t believe you‘re a grandmother! You look so young and striking. I am so sorry for the Lyme. My best friend has got it too and it changed her life completely. Take care 🍀😘 6y
Suet624 @BarbaraBB Thank you so much for your kind words. As for Lyme, it‘s a life-changer for sure. 6y
arubabookwoman Always so wonderful when family gets together, esp. grandkids. I have 4 too, with # 5 due in October. I hope you continue to feel well. 6y
Suet624 @arubabookwoman congrats on #5!!! And thanks for the well wishes. 6y
Reggie Ummm, excuse me, but there is a line about people she loved with such passion and left behind that led to feelings of loneliness and regret and hope. Nobody mentions that in these comments. Sue, write a book please!!! Because I would read it. Lol, nice photos and glad you‘re feeling better. 6y
Suet624 @Reggie Reggie, you are always so supportive and kind to me. I clearly overshare but you don‘t seem to mind. 💕 6y
Jeg Beautiful photos. Hope you get to feel better soon. 😍😍 6y
Suet624 @Jeg thank you! 6y
kspenmoll @Reggie Totally agree- a book is in order! Sue, such absolute joy in your family photo- says so so much! ❤️❤️❤️ 6y
ValerieAndBooks Love the family pictures 💖. I will have to read this author. 6y
Suet624 @kspenmoll Thanks, Katherine. I do have stories....as do we all. But to write them would be so embarrassing. 6y
Suet624 @ValerieAndBooks I think if you‘re a woman over 50/60 you will like it. And being Irish helps too. I was serious about reading it again. She touched me so deeply and so unexpectedly. 6y
ValerieAndBooks I‘m almost 53 😊, and it does look like it‘s up my alley. The Litsy blurb says it‘s a follow-up to another book; should I read that first? 6y
Suet624 @ValerieAndBooks I didn‘t read the first one but she talks about and outlines it a lot. I think her first book ends on a low note and I like knowing she ended up okay. I‘ll definitely be reading all of her work now. 6y
Trashcanman Sorry Sue the ticks are assholes and they aren't kind at all. Glad you hopefully are feeling the better. 6y
Suet624 @Trashcanman thanks so much. Ticks suck. Sometimes I‘m flat on the couch and then sometimes I‘m able to carry on like all is well. Just don‘t know when or for how long it‘s gonna keep me down. Right now the worst thing I have going is a bad book I‘m trying to finish. 😁 So it‘s all good. 6y
Trashcanman @Suet624 are you in the just because group? 6y
Trashcanman @Suet624 no wonder I was looking like an idiot and then it all crashed. And I fell 6y
Suet624 @Trashcanman what do you mean?? 6y
Trashcanman @Suet624 what was I looking at? 6y
Trashcanman I don't remember typing this 😔 I wasn't drunk. I think I was unwell. I am sorry. 😔 6y
Suet624 @Trashcanman it‘s all good. 😁 6y
RohitSawant Wonderful pictures! Glad hearing you're better and hope your health continues to improve. 💜 6y
saresmoore Such a gorgeous family, Sue! Ugh, I miss you and we‘ve never even met! I will carve out time tomorrow to (finally) respond to your email. Thinking of you! ♥️♥️♥️ 6y

O‘Faolain has an interesting view of solitude vs isolation and I‘m enjoying her discussion on whether she‘s lonely or not. She can‘t tell. She believes herself to be unique in this inability to find the answer. I‘m here to say she‘s not. 😎

Yes, of course I went back to the 3-week-long book sale. They started the sale with 20,000 books and new books keep coming out of boxes. I took away 15 books. The tagged book is a memoir of a woman from Ireland who explores the "crucible of middle age". I used to be drawn only to fiction, but each time I visit this particular sale I'm drawn to their eclectic selection of non-fiction. Not sure what this statue is saying, but I like it.

shawnmooney 15 books or 15 boxes? 😛 7y
Suet624 Oh. Good point. Books. I think that deserves an edit. :) @shawnmooney (edited) 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage 3-week sale? Too. Much. Heaven. 7y
