This is my original 45-cent copy of Poe. Still have it from when I was eight. I was looking at it today because a character in my next book was quoting The Raven. Also? I listened to crow cries on my computer. My Jesse was fascinated. Thought she was in Hitchcock‘s The Birds.
Poe definitely writes stories that are classified as #creepy and the one that was always the creepiest for me was Masque of the Red Death, especially now at Halloween 🎃 you never know who, or what, might be hiding behind those masks. 😱

Poe is the king of goth. A few pics I took when I got to visit Poe's one time home in Philadelphia. I bought the book pictured there and a postcard they stamped with the date I visited. Was the perfect dreary fall day.
Didn't get much reading done this weekend, but @ElizaTodd and I went to Poe's Tavern with some friends in Jacksonville, Florida! It was the coolest place! The bathrooms were wallpapered with pages from Eddie's books.
