Many have recommended Julie James and they weren‘t wrong! My reading mood never aligned before but my recent contemporary obsession and this hold coming in quickly made it finally the right time. Great dialogue, great characters, great chemistry. I could‘ve done without as much focus on the murderer (I‘m no longer very interested in romantic suspense) but that won‘t keep me from reading more of her books. #romantsy

Hilarious, steamy, suspense added in it. My 1st time š“– by this author and Gosh does she brought me laughter. Asst District Attorney Cameron was š´ in the š¸© room when she‘s being awaken by noise made by nxt šŖ. Their love making continue for hours when she‘s frustrated with enuff moaning & banging when she call security. What they found ltr, woman end up dead. FBI Special Agt Jack was call in and šˇ‡šˇ† between the 2. #romanticsuspense #juliejames

Oh no! I forgot day 2 of #seasonsreadings2016! But these women won't beat you physically, but they sure can kick your ass in court! I'm only missing It Happened One Wedding (possibly my favorite of the series) because my roommate is borrowing it āŗļø¸š„ But I seriously love all the women in these books š’˛

MeganB @Chachic her banter is SO GOOD! But I'm nervous about the next one! They flip flopped on the cover/title a bunch that I think she's going in a new direction and I'm scared. Part of this may also annoyance that they're switching midseries from mass market to trade paperback and now I can't buy it until they match š 3y

Chachic Oh I didn't know they were switching to trade, I hate when that happens! I started her books on paperbacks but have moved to Kindle editions so it doesn't affect me as much but the pricing will be higher. 3y

MeganB @Chachic yea, I get it from a business perspective (everybody's gotta do what they can to offset shrinking mass market paperback interest/shelf space) but as a reader I do not understand why people are more willing to buy one book @ trade prices when they could get TWO mass mkts for the same amount of money. Plus, sometimes it means the author is moving towards a more "mainstream" type book/audience which isn't what I'm here for. I like unique! 3y

Chachic I always thought that happened when the author becomes more popular? Like the publisher thinks the readers would be more willing to pay higher prices. Whatever the reason, it's frustrating when it happens! 3y

MeganB @Chachic I think that's part of it, but usually it seems if they just switch to hardcover, the books seem more similar just at a higher price (Nalini Singh comes to mind here) but when they just jump to trade it seems to show more of a tone shift. But i don't have much to back that up! Just a vibe 3y
