Spent the afternoon in the garden pretending we were on holiday....

This was a fairly typical dual-timeline book, set in Paris during WWII and then in the late 1950s. It wasn‘t amazing or breathtaking, but it was a great what I would call ‘ beach read‘. 😁 🏖

Oh and it was *nearly* 5 o‘clock by the time the sangria made an appearance - honest! 🤪

A story of resistance, collaboration, betrayal, fidelity, love both lost and found. Loyalties are tested during war can things be easily forgiven during times of war as easily as they can be forgiven during peacetime? Is time a great healer?

This was an excellent read-the narrative was seamlessly delivered through several different narrators giving first hand feelings to the story being told –past and present are linked up seamlessly.
