End of Watch | Stephen King

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a fantastic ending to the series. Overwhelming and perfect and well written. Stephe King is genius who never fails to produce something wonderful. Seriously in awe! The only sadness is not getting to hang out with Bill, Holly and Jerome on more adventures.

Property of a Lady | Sarah Rayne

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks to an unscheduled nap I was able to sit up in the dark, small hours of the night reading Property Of A Lady by Sarah Rayne. I was just tired enough to be jumpy at any little noise and gave myself a few frights.
This might not be everyone's idea of a ghost story but just go with it. The writing and the characters will give your imagination all the help it needs.

You can't not enjoy Stephen King. Even if you don't entirely like the book, you can't stop reading.

Contradictory, condescending, ego driven clap trap. I'm sorry. This book is all the reasons I don't like self help books (which this is even though Gilbert claims it's not). Big Magic might be just what some people are needing to read. For me it doesn't help. I don't want to feel like I'm being patronised by someone who keeps calling me "you guys". I'm sorry. I know I'll be in the minority for not liking this book.

This is a contender for my book of 2016. Wow! I'm exhausted having read it in a day and emotional wrecked. Highly recommended.

Kristy Cambron is a storyteller. I will happily keep reading if Kristy happily keeps writing 💕

Gorgeous. The writing is fluid. The story is elegant. The characters are relatable. I really enjoyed this book.

I can't really tell you what I learnt (I'm still processing the information) but I can say, it's been a long time since I've read anything as intellectually challenging and stimulating. Not to be undertaken lightly but worth the effort & commitment.

The Three: A Novel | Sarah Lotz

The best bit was the ending and even then, it was unsatisfactory. I think I want to know more but I'm unwilling to spend time on another book that only teases you with half story half measures. I shouldn't start trilogies.

The Stranger | Albert Camus

Read this because it's Camus and the story is brilliant. It will depend on the quality of the translation as to how lyrically it reads.

A really well finished book but now that Larsson isn't involved (being dead) I don't think there should be anymore.

Nice piece of fluff without the heavy handed writing of some Christian fiction.

This is a contender for my "book of the year 2016". I loved everything about it. Aganetha Smart is one of the most interesting characters you'll ever meet.

Interesting topic. Terrible writing. Save yourself the irritation.

This book creeped the mother loving shit out of me. I saw a little while ago they're doing a tv series / movie but I don't think my brain can cope with another visit to Christmas Land.

I'm torn. I really this. I liked Maud, I like the way the book reflects her decline with dementia and I liked the way the story linked back to 1946 & the disappearance of her sister. If you sense a but coming, you'd be right. Something just didn't work. This was almost brilliant.
