Hoping for rain today so I can make in dent in this one. One week until book club.

purebugbeauty72 Update: It was meh. I wasn't invested in any of the characters and didn't really care who did it or why. I would have ditched it but it's for book club. 6mo

Book Two of the Neapolitan Novels had me screaming and sobbing. Two girls trying to navigate adolescence, friendship, love, jealousy, expectations, education...with literally zero adult guidance. I am going to wait a few days before starting Book Three so that my family don't think that I've totally abandoned them. Can't wait to see how HBO does with Book One.

lalatiburona I thought they did a good job!! What did you think? 11mo

Almost to the end and I'm overwhelmed with how much I love this novel. Can't wait for the HBO series next month. It's in Italian with subtitles!!

Just finished reading The Paris Wife, so it only seem getting to follow it up with The Sun Also Rises. She earned this dedication and deserved it.

I loved it. And now I'm really mad at and really sorry for Ernest Hemmingway. And now I'm going to go reread The Sun Also Rises and all the Nick Adams stories.

Mehso-so

My Goodreads review. Plus, I listened to it on Audible and the narrator was annoying. (In the defense of the narrator, the last book I listened to was Lincoln in the Bardo, so whatever came next was already doomed.)

And then there are those books that you buy a physical copy of after listening on Audible because of the need to have it physically close to you.
