If there‘s a better gift than someone saying “I thought of you while reading this”, I have yet to discover it. #mylovelanguageisbooks

Normally I‘m all for getting a book with the original cover, but the color scheme on this is so aesthetically pleasing. Also, I‘m trying really hard not to flip through to the end because I‘m SO curious about what‘s going to happen! #asimplefavor #fiction #suspense

BookishEscapade I really loved this film! First film adaptation that I didn‘t read the book first prior to 🤭 to be fair, I didn‘t notice it was based off a book until I finished it 5y
madwomanintheattic @Thewanderer92 Did you end up reading the book after? If so, how do you think they compared? 5y
BookishEscapade @atticusgoldfinch unfortunately not, I have too many book on my tbr list that were of higher priority lol 5y

Mehso-so

Pain Killer is aimed strictly at exposing the Purdue company and both its role in marketing and the backseat it took as the crisis began rearing its ugly head. It‘s an interesting look, but the timeline is scattered and the anecdotal story of a specific person affected by Oxy didn‘t seem to fit in with the rest of it. Would recommend, but only to a specific audience. #medicine #drugs #bigpharma #nonfiction

“There are days when I feel so lightly connected to the earth that the threads that tether me to the planet are gossamer thin, spun sugar. A strong gust of wind could dislodge me completely, and I‘d lift off and blow away, like one of those seeds in a dandelion clock. The threads tighten slightly from Monday to Friday.”
