Maybe I should stop reading medical novels and actually go to medschool 🤔. Next on my Medical books reads: You Can Stop Humming Now. GOT IT ON SALE! Recommended Medical books : When Breath Becomes Air, Paul Kalanithi; Fragile Lives, Professor Stephen Westaby; This Is Going to Hurt, Adam Kay.

So far so good. I'm learning so much about natural medicine and home remedies.

Crazeedi I have many many of these books on my shelves, went through a time of intense study of herbal remedies 4d

For the most part, “Reaching Down the Rabbit Hole: Extraordinary Journeys into the Human Brain” is a really engaging, interesting and educational read. The conditions that are described are fascinating, especially from the doctor‘s perspective, but I couldn‘t really warm to the doctor or his outdated opinions. This one gets 3 stars from me.

My full review is up on my blog now 📚

Honestly, I think the NHS trainees have it worse than American interns and residents. Brits, be thankful and write your MP for better treatment of jr. docs!

Everyone who has practiced medicine has their funny stories, like the drunk redneck who wanted to talk about his dog‘s vagina at midnight. 😳😠🤪 And then we have long shifts with hard moments and triumphs. And we have the sad stories.

This book covers a lot of Adam‘s. 4⭐️ Ran thru this one!

Megabooks Emily, I tagged you because you got me into Adam Kay! 1w
Emilymdxn I‘m so glad you liked it! He‘s a fantastic writer 1w

Look at the Wikipedia entry for any famous doctor, and you‘ll see: ‘He proved himself an accomplished rugby player in youth leagues. He excelled as a distance runner and in his final year at school was vice-captain of the athletics team.‘ This particular description is of a certain Dr H. Shipman, so perhaps it‘s not a rock-solid system.

squirrelbrain Glad you enjoyed it! 👍😁 2w
Deifio Oh but I think it's nice when people read a book and have to laugh! Makes me want to ask what they're reading, but am always afraid I'll disturb their reading flow and enjoyment of the book 🙈😅 2w
