So me and my friend have started a book club with just us in, and I finally put this notebook to good use as the official notebook for our club haha :)

Fairytale like and a love between an old couple I could relate to. A sad and magical book. I definitely recommend it.

Heard good things about this author...

Pretty good. A little uncomfortable at times, hilarious at others. Will be interesting to read her other books too.

Need cheering up....

Well. I expected this book to toy with my emotions but gosh. If you have ever suffered/ are suffering problems with mental health, I would recommend not reading this, or making sure you are ok to do so first. I'm on the chocolate and starting a comedy now.

Don't worry, I have a comedy lined up to read after...

A very enjoyable book. The fact that there was a book within a book was very effective, and the characterisation was rather good. I had always known that unmarried pregnant women and gay men had suffered throughout history, but in this century it is easy to take this change for granted, and not realise the extent of their suffering. I really recommend this book.

The company of a good book and hot chocolate is better than the company of most people :)

This book seems very unusual. I've already got stuck into it within the first few pages...

Although this book took me a while to finish, I did enjoy it. It was rather overwhelming at times, and it's very sad but enjoyable all the same.
