'The Hitchhikers' is a dark novel. There is a lot of violence from Simon that sometimes seemed gratuitous, except that it fit his character well. The story centers on Alice and Tom who pickup two hitchhikers, Simon and Jenny. Alice and Tom's world will never be the same. There are twists and turns as the story progresses. I think my favorite character is Alice. A well put-together novel of rage and human resilience. 4 stars.

This is my first book to read by this author. I will be looking for more now. This was a very scary and very emotional story. My emotions were all over the place by the time I finished it. In a good way though.

An excellent book. Though I did figure out some of it that was ok. This was a know up front who was the bad guys. But still some secrets.

Stevens‘ latest is another riveting read that I couldn‘t tear myself away from! She maintains so much tension throughout that it made me glad to not be a nail-biter, or I‘d surely have no nails left! American couple Alice & Tom are taking a road trip through Canada in their new RV on their way to the summer Olympics in Montreal. But this 1976 summer holds nothing but horror after a young couple they meet along the way change everything! So tense!

Another edge-of-your-seat, very intense read by Chevy Stevens.

You will be biting your fingernails and yelling at the main character as she and her husband live this nightmare.

Fans of Chevy Stevens and thrillers do not want to miss this one. 5/5

A well-planned vacation for Good Samaritans Tom and Alice turned out to be a nightmare.

They felt sorry for the hitchhikers and welcomed them to ride along with them.

That was the biggest mistake of their life.

This is another edge-of-your-seat, very tense read by Chevy Stevens.

Fans of Chevy Stevens and thrillers do not want to miss this one. 5/5
