Excited to read The Moon-Spinners! I had no idea this was a book. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, watching old movies on TV's The Wonderful World of Disney. Oh how I wanted to be Hayley Mills!

Dragon Very nice photo . I've seen Hailey Mills movies 🎥 but I may have missed this one 😭 I have read the 📚 8y

So many details I didn't know. I've been reading snippets out loud to whomever I can get to listen!

MrBook Lol! Good luck with that! If I relate non-fiction, I get dead ears; if I relate fiction, I get half dead ear and half perked ears. 8y

Another Gamache. Love him. Very sad about where this one went, left the next one in the series at home but I am hoping for redemption!

Jess_Read_This I love Gamache too. 8y
Julian.Wotherspoon Right!? I just finished it. It's after midnight. Trying hard not to run downstairs and grab the next one. I keep thinking of the end of the first novel. Doesn't Gamache say that neither Gabri or Olivier could possibly be responsible for such a thing! 8y

Mehso-so

Loved the snappy dialog. Intrigued by March's backstory which will probably develop over the course of the series. The solving of the mystery was a little choppy for me. I will probably read the next in the series to see if there is an evolution. Quick and fun, lots of reference to Sherlock.

MrBook Ooh, another great picture. 8y

Loved Call the Midwife television series. The first season covers for the most part the contents of this book. The book is funnier, Jennifer Worth has a great sense of humor. You also see the more human side of her. The show paints her in a rosier light than she paints herself.

Enjoyable. Alternative explanation of the true life disappearance of New York Supreme Court Justice Crater in the early 1930's.

She imagines she'd like to explain that it's difficult to know who you are once you are alone, when you have always been there for the sake of someone else.

What really happens to the Hindenburg? Love this imagined look into that last fateful flight.
