I'm completely torn over this book. I couldn't put it down and whizzed through it in a few days, yet I feel that something was missing. With each new chapter I was waiting for something big to happen; I was left a little underwhelmed by the end. The influence of the Dark Lady and the relevance of the black pages didn't really come together for me until too late on the book. It wasn't the wow I had hoped for from Akala

By far my favourite of the Red Queen series. I hadn't previously enjoyed jumping between characters each chapter but in this book it felt necessary to capture the climax of this story. I wasn't in love with parts of the ending, no spoilers here, but the series has most definitely gone out on a high

I'm not a great lover of non-fiction, I generally steer clear of it if I can help it. I've really struggled to pick up a book over the last year, especially during the last few months at home. That was until I found Denis Avey! Far from my usual read, I couldn't put this down from the moment I picked it up. It's a rollercoaster of a ride but it was worth page! It's an unbelievable, emotional, unpredictable account of one man's incredible journey.

Is there a better way to spend a train journey? Starting book two today of the Red/Silver story. I can't begin to explain how much I love this series.

The book has re-sparked my love of reading. The electrifying Mare is thrown into a world of secrets, lies, betrayal and responsibility. Her journey to literary heroine can be likened to that of Katniss Everdeen, Beatrice Prior and Karou. If you love a badass woman who fights for all that is right then you must pick up this book. I can't wait to start number 2

Hoping this drags me out of my hiatus from reading. It's described as a blend of The Hunger Games, Graceling and Divergent. That has to be a good sign. #wishmeluck

After enduring a reading slump I have finally managed to finish The Power, it's only taken me four months! Naomi Alderman has blown my mind. A seriously badass read that turns sexism on its head. Summed up perfectly by Margaret Atwood, 'Electrifying'!

Finally reached the end of the trilogy! Although I found it lacked something in book 2, this final installment lived up to the captivating magic of the first book. The journey of Takeo and Kaede was unpredictable and intriguing. A fitting ending to their adventure 😍

Magical, mesmerising, unexpected, exciting and wonderful. I loved every second of Scarlett's adventure from start to finish! The characters she met along the way brought the magic of caraval to life for me. An unexpected twist almost spoilt my final opinion but Stephanie Garber managed to leave me desperate for more.... Sequel please hurry

This book started and ended so well, it kept me hooked and turning the pages. However there was a patch in the middle that I really struggled to get through. I'd fallen so in love with these characters are the world they live in during the first book I was determined see it through and I'm so glad i did 😍

Girl Crush alert! Kelsea Glynn might be one of my favourite badass Queens! 👸 It's been likened to Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games but this book definitely stands on its own as a fantasy adventure with an awesome kick ass female protagonist.

I have no idea where to start with this book. From the first page I felt as if I were Takeo's shadow following him on every step of his journey. An unbelievable adventure that surprised me at every turn. I could not recommend this book enough. Whether you're interested in Japanese culture or not, read it you won't regret. Filled with pride, loyalty, friendship, allegiance, sorrow, love and mysterious talents

Can you even imagine a time when reading was thought of as dangerous and unnatural for women! 'Have a break from her books?' The doctor sounds like more of a lunatic than his patients at the asylum in The Ballroom, please don't take away this poor woman's lifeline! #girlpower #womensrights #weneedbooks

Finally at the age of 28 I have completed the journey that is Harry Potter. In the last 18 months, I've laughed, cried, laughed so hard I cried, fallen in love, had my heart broken and wished the most painful of deaths on the most vile character I've ever encountered! All in all I've bloody loved every second. Thank you @Bookworm-Bobbie for letting me borrow the books and enduring my Potter related meltdowns
