This is one of those books that I had on my TBR for a while and so I was hyped to read it but now I'm left with "What did I just read?", and not in the good way.

No character was likeable and I was left with that odd ending which is feeling like the norm which I'm not a fan of. Not my cup of tea and not something I would recommend but oddly enough I've been told by people that they liked this one, so to each their own.

We do not care that I‘m wearing socks and sandals around the house. Yea, it‘s true, I used to think when “old people” did this it was a crime against humanity. Now that I‘m kind of an “old people,” I just don‘t care.

And I don‘t care that the report for the client is “just a draft.” Both of you (my associate and my paralegal) proofed it and when I get it there shouldn‘t be any misspelled words!

LiseWorks Oh dear lord, I see old people do this all the time, lol. Yes, I think it's a crime, too! Since I can't wear sandles (feet problems force me to wear insoles), I will never resort to that hehe even if I'm old. 2w

Liz_M Socks + sandals is absolutely a young person thing, too! I don't think I've seen a teen/young adult/new adult on the subway in sandals without socks recently. 2w

Texreader @dabbe I tried to be nice about it, my paralegal is very young and sensitive. But the word “destroyed“ is not spelled “destoyed“ and if a sentence has two were(s) in it, there should be two nouns! It's for a presentation to a bunch of very prominent individuals on the Board of Directors. 2w

dabbe L😍VE! I actually insisted that parents email me with their questions and to NOT call. It was imperative to have a written record of who said what, and phone calls never allow you that--unless you're recording them. And yes, work on those writing skills, people! 🩵💙🩵 2w

DGRachel @Bookwormjillk I‘ve found that the people who insist the most on phone calls are the people that just want to whine or argue. We do not care about why they think they shouldn‘t have to do something. After 25 years doing this job, I‘m not fighting with you. Do what you‘re supposed to be or don‘t get paid. DGRachel @dabbe I struggle with phone calls for several reasons. Most people accept it when I tell them that and ask them to put their questions in an email. Every so often though… 2w

We do not care that we left yesterday for our vacation and drove four hours to northeastern Arizona only to realize when we got there that we had left ALL of Pippa's seizure medications on the table at home in Phoenix. 😳

P.S. Thankfully, after hours on the phone, her neurological vet was able to send all the prescriptions to a pharmacy up here so that Matt didn't have to spend eight hours today retrieving them. #deepbreaths 😮‍💨

thebacklistbook We do not care that our car appointment is when we normally wake up to greet the day. Or that the weather is not cooperating and we have to air out rather than use AC. We also do not care that we haven't vacuumed the car in a long time. 2w
