Mehso-so

This is the last book in a series, but it works as a stand alone. Accidents are happening at a trail/highway crossing. Jenny Cain, head of a local non-profit, is asked to help make changes to the crossing to ensure no one else is killed. At the same time, she‘s trying to get a Fall Festival off the ground. Started slow, but it got interesting, and then the ending happened too quickly. There was a twist I didn‘t completely see coming. ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Not sure I like this particular packaging of walks. Descriptions are two to three pages, photos not all labeled, maps pretty bare... meh. Really like Nicholson‘s other work but may have had a marketing miss with this one...

Lazy Sunday! This book picked up. I‘m enjoying the mystery of who or what is behind the deaths and accidents near the small New England town‘s nature trail-highway crossing.

This has been on my bookshelf for probably 20 years. 😳 Back from my Mystery Guild membership days, pre-children. It has moved with us at least once. This is the last in a series, and as a rule, I don‘t like to read books out of order but....#clearthebookshelves. #thisirritatesmyhusband #buthehasmoviesthatoldhesneverwatched 😉🤣📚

Pickpick

There are some nonfiction writers you pick up and within minutes, the passion they carry for their subject feels like lightning in a bottle. Less than five pages in, I found myself wondering how come I‘ve never heard of Robert Moor? Inspired by a thru-hike completed in his twenties on the Appalachian Trail, Moor finds himself wondering about the existence and evolution of trails (animal as well as human). LOVED THIS.

We did a hike the trail event for the library, so that was my cardio for #bookfitnesschallenge today! I don‘t usually get to walk outside, (I like my treadmill so that I can read)! #bfc

I‘ve always been fascinated by trails and people that complete thru-hikes. I‘m looking forward to this book!

Nevermore88 I live close by it 9mo
Toniyesss I loved this book! I found it so interesting to see how trails are formed, and when I hike I have a new appreciation for the trail itself 9mo

OMG! I made it through August, finally. Also, read this book ‘cuz it‘s good.

ZoeyPeacock I read this years ago and still think of it often! One that definitely stuck with me, even thought it‘s out of my comfort zone. 1y
Schnoebs This was such a fun read when I picked it up a few years ago. Have you watched the movie yet? 1y
jpmcwisemorgan @Schnoebs No, was it any good? @ZoeyPeacock He‘s really funny! I‘ve enjoyed a couple of his other books. 1y
