I thought about doing a #Top19of2019, but to be honest, these two were in a league of their own! They moved me, made me thoughtful and emotional, and they have become some of my all time favourites. So my #Bestof2019 are the two above books, and I hope for books like these in 2020 🤞

ElishaLovesBooks Totally agree! I loved Normal People-her writing is exceptional! 4y
MrsMalaprop As a fellow psych I can‘t help having a chuckle at the titles of the books you most loved 😅. And I‘ve read neither of them, although Normal People has so been calling to me... 4y
erzascarletbookgasm Here‘s to more memorable and great reads in 2020 🥂 4y

Post 2/2. I really tried to get it down to #19of2019. But I couldn't choose between these 24. All such different books and worlds that I lost myself in.

My #top19of2019
I read some great books this year. Thanks, Litsy!

LeahBergen Bookworm, The Darling Buds of May, and The Other *almost* made my list, too! 4y
Aimeesue @LeahBergen I think my faves are always the books that really stick with me, the ones I still think about from time to time. A lot of times, it's learning something that changes or shifts my perspective. TBH, The Darling Buds of May just cracked me up. 😂 4y
LeahBergen 😆😆 It just cracked me up, too. 4y

jillrhudy Old Baggage would absolutely be on my list. 4y
jillrhudy Darling Buds of May? I must obtain it instanter. 4y
Aimeesue @jillrhudy It reminded me a bit of Cold Comfort Farm, with less seething sexy porridge. Lots of food, though! 😂 4y

Pickpick

Thanks to @rachelm and @Librarybelle for recommending that I read the tagged book last week - I loved it!

I hadn‘t read any blurb about it, probably as it was on Kindle, so it was a huge, fantastic surprise. I also didn‘t get the reason why Evelyn had chosen Monique, much as I tried.

The rest of my #bookreport is also shown - a great week as both Evelyn and Period are vying to be in the #top19of2019.

Cinfhen That‘s awesome 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 4y
rachelm Yay! Glad you enjoyed it!! The other one by her recently is amazing too (especially on audio) 4y
Librarybelle Yay!!! 4y
squirrelbrain I read the one when it first came out @rachelm - loved it! ❤️ 4y
Andrew65 Evelyn Hugo was a great read, I also enjoyed Daisy Jones and the Six by the same author. @rachelm (edited) 4y
