Imagine being near the end of high school and living in prison with your dad and little sister because your dad has been falsely accused of selling drugs, your family is too poor to hire a lawyer and your mom deserts your family when all this happens. This is Franciso's life in Bolivia in 1999 and situations such as this actually occurred. This is an amazing book based on true events!

This one didn't seem as fleshed out as Origins but I still enjoyed it. I've got the next on order from the library so I hope to finish it all up in a week.

I thought immediately of Audacity for #harddaysnight but then I read about Crowders other book- and it also sounds appropriate....

This book has many terms that children may not understand. I love how the back of the book includes a glossary defining possible unknown terms.

A true story of 33 miners who survived 69 days under the Chilean Desert. I love that it has a table of contents because just by looking at it I can tell that the whole story is about togetherness. This book allows children to explore the unimaginable. Genre: Nonfiction; Published: 2012

This book has different chapters including an intro, glossary, authors notes, and an index. This is very beneficial to the readers and gives more background info on the story
