While I have been following Amelia Atwater-Rhodes since her very first book, I like the Kiesha'ra series the best out of all her books. A land of shapeshifters and magic.

The story begins with a war between two families, the Falcons and the Cobras. In later books, the Hawks and Wolfs will play key rolls.

A fantastic read.

I‘ve had my eye on this one for a few years, and a friend recently lent it to me because she loves it. It was fun seeing the way that Nimoma‘s chaotic energy helped or overshot Blackhart‘s plans, as well as how Blackhart‘s supervillain status began and the ways he ran with it. It wasn‘t a wow-me book but it was such a fun read! #LGBTQIA #Fantasy #Shapeshifter #Comic

[Pt.1] “Tock” is a time management obsessed honey badger and Shay is a curious tiger and doting single father. These two team up along with their family and teammates (not friends) to figure out who is behind the new poison that is being formulated specifically to kill honey badgers; as well as a question from previous book, who killed Shays father? #netgalley

[Pt.2] The romance isn‘t really the main focus but I really like Tock and Shay together and the relationship that builds between Tock and Shays daughter, Dani is adorable. Honestly Dani kinda steals the show, well her and Charlie. Charlie is always a star. They have the next couple, Keane and “Nelle” all lined up and I can‘t wait. I love them already.

Bottom line these crazy honey badgers are entertaining as always. #netgalley

Here‘s my review for a book I finished reading tonight. This is a free ebook I got on Amazon back in 2016.

I couldn‘t decide what I wanted to read next but I wanted to read something short so I chose this ebook I‘ve had on my Kindle since 2016. I like it so far. I have 2 hours left in the ebook. It‘s a paranormal shifter romance. The woman in the story is plus size and the man is a paranormal shifter. He shifts from being a human to being a bear. This sounded like it would be a fun book to read.

If I had read this book 20 years ago, it would be a favorite today. Unfortunately, this is my first read at 31, so it is pretty mid shapeshifter YA. Kudos on some excellent enemies to lovers vibes. Additionally, if you read a lot of fanfiction like me, you may agree that the shape shifting was underutilized.

Finished last weekend but no time for reviews during the week. I enjoyed this spin-off to the Sam Quinn series, almost as much as Sam‘s story. Arwyn is a great character & I like her love interest Declan & her sea creature friends that live below her art gallery/restored cannery. Sam & Clive appear which is a plus. My only complaint was it could have been longer & the abruptness of the ending-it just kind of stopped which leads to the next book ⬇️

DebinHawaii … but didn‘t seem finished. There is an excerpt of the next book at the end though. And, I would read the Sam Quinn books (first one tagged) for context. Adding to my #SeriesLove2023 list. (edited) 11mo
