mcctrish What a ride this chapter was!!! Poor molly ( it‘s all I ever say) suffering through #notarealclare waxing on about all her grievances, worrying about Roger being ill, realizing Cynthia could care less about Roger, having the Brown Owls chastize her over Mr Preston whom she hasn‘t seen since she was at the Towers? I love that when #thebrownowls list all the things they will do, she replies “yes, do it, of course” (edited) 1d
BarkingMadRead @mcctrish that was pretty badass of Molly, actually. I was proud of her 1d

mcctrish @BarkingMadRead right? Shutting down that rant! Meanwhile stupid #notarealclare is all “I‘d rather Mr Preston came to call than these two “ OMG 1d
Cuilin For Molly being weak and “sickly looking” she can certainly shut down an awkward conversation. What letter was Cynthia hiding? 24h
eeclayton @Cuilin I was wondering about that letter, too 🤔 21h
dabbe I am so worried that Molly is going to somehow end up in the same situation as Maggie Tulliver from THE MILL, not because she's actually gone away with a man but because these gossiping biddies are going to spread that rumor, and her reputation will be ruined in this small town. WTF with these Victorian women? 😮‍💨 19h
willaful @dabbe I don't think the author is going to be that cruel to us, but who knows?

Wasn't it hard not to read onto the next chapter?! Seems like some answers may be coming. Operative word, “may.“ 😂

Clare-Dragonfly Seems like #notarealclare and Mrs. Tulliver from The Mill on the Floss ought to trade daughters! Or at least trade their hair… Cynthia says she‘s almost out of her trouble so hopefully she‘s almost done paying off Preston. But what could the paying off be about?! 15h
dabbe @willaful 🩵🎯🩵 15h
Bookwormjillk I finally got a chance to read this chapter. Molly certainly held her own! Go Molly! 13h
