So, I finished this one the other day (during the holiday weekend) it was so so quick but.. I felt like I didn't get as much out of it as I wanted to.. So, I ended up listening to an audio dramatic type read of it too! Anyway this was a great book #ReadMoreClassics #ReadingWithTBRCrew @AsYouWish

"And her mind about as ignorant and uninformed as the female mind at 17 usually is". Started this one on #serialreader the other day. This is one of Austen's novels I have not yet read and if this quote is any indication of the writing to come, I am sad I waited so long to read it #readmoreclassics

smilingshelves This is my favorite of hers! 7y
Bradleygirl It's her most overtly satirical and does not suffer from it ❤️ 7y
MKbookworm @smilingshelves @Bradleygirl I am loving it so far! So glad I chose it as my next serial read 7y

My latest #serialreader read, was thoroughly enjoyable. My first, but not last, work by Elizabeth Gaskell #readmoreclassics

JazzFeathers Gothic? 7y
Reviewsbylola Cranford is great. I need to read more Gaskell. 7y
MKbookworm @JazzFeathers Not at all. The lives of a group of women living in a small town as told by a friend who frequently visits. Written in the 1850s. It honestly feels almost like a series of vignettes. While some stories go through multiple chapaters, I think you could read certain sections separately or not in order and not be at all confused. I believe it was originally written serially. (edited) 7y
MKbookworm @Reviewsbylola you originally suggested it to me when I was looking for a new serial read last month. Thank you! 7y

I have been using @SerialReader to read more classics this year. Finished The Tenant of Wildfell Hall the other day and I am not sure what to read next. Throw your recommendations my way. #readmoreclassics

Reviewsbylola I finished my serial read last week and am not sure what to start next either! I'm considering Elizabeth Gaskell but I'm not sure I want a super long read right now. 7y
MKbookworm @Reviewsbylola I have Gaskell's Cranford in my read later section but just not in the mood for it. I am looking for something a bit shorter too. Maybe a Shakespeare play I haven't read? I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am so indecisive right now (edited) 7y
Reviewsbylola I loved Cranford, which is why I want to read more from her. So it's a good choice if you decide to go for it! 7y

What a wonderful read! It has been a few years since I read Charlotte's Jane Eyre but I think Anne's Tenant of Wildfell Hall has become my favorite Bronte sister novel #readmoreclassics #classics #serialreader

Really enjoyed this one. Classic gothic story telling. #serialreader #readmoreclassics

Texreader It is definitely one of my fave books. His writing knows no era; it feels so modern to me. 7y

How have I gotten to the age of 30 without reading this? I am absolutely loving it. @SerialReader is really helping me up my classics game in 2017. #serialreader #classics #readmoreclassics #riotgrams

saresmoore I ask myself this question about so many books. As if we could have made a dent in the good classics in what is realistically only fifteen years of adult reading comprehension! Better late than never, I think. 7y
Myhusbandhatesreading I haven't read it either but it's been on my TBR forever. Someday... 7y
MKbookworm @saresmoore haha right? I keep meaning to read motevof the Bronte sisters, I have only read Jane Eyre 7y
MKbookworm @Myhusbandhatesreading I never really even thought of reading it until I read The Historian. I think all the Vampire movies/hype turned me off. It is such a great gothic novel 7y
