#TransRightsReadathon Book 2
Loved Neil and his dumpster fire journey of figuring out love in all its capacities. Trying to dodge the sudden and unwanted feelings of his friend (with benefits), Neil convinces his roommate (who doesn't like him) to be his fake date at his brother's wedding. What could go wrong? Spending a week among his transphobic family is nothing compared to confronting the feelings he's been burying about those closest to him.

peanutnine This was hilarious and it was enjoyable to watch Neil go from an unlikable jerk to a more self-aware and compassionate character. It hit on some serious topics of gender, body dysmorphia, queerness, and even class differences. 13mo

Gonna read this one as I flip through Monsters of Men! Let's see how this one attacks the very important subject matter of self-harm. I'll let you know my thoughts as soon as I finish! 📚

“If you take any activity, any art, any discipline, any skill, take it and #push it as far as it will go, push it beyond where it has ever been before, push it to the wildest edge of edges, then you force it into the realm of magic.” ― Tom Robbins #QuotsyNov19 (not sure if quote is from the tagged book)
