I am woefully behind on the #photoadaynov16 challenge. I aim to rectify that today! For #day2, here's my #planestrainsautomobiles post.

Suzze All three. Impressive. 7y
Liatrek Someone suggest I read the White Tiger at a book sale. It's on my TBR pile. Did you like that book? 7y
PurpleyPumpkin @Liatrek I quite enjoyed it! It took me some time to get into, but worth it. 7y
Liatrek @PurpleyPumpkin thank you! I look forward to reading it. Some books are worth a slow start 😊 7y

A salute to the wife of Alexander Graham Bell, Mabel Bell. She stood by him (he was not an easy man to deal with, I've read his bio), raised his children and was the muse behind several of his inventions. He also flew the first plane in Canada. #planestrainsautomobiles #photoadayNov16 #nslittens @RealLifeReading

the_alternate_ending_library I need this one! 😍 7y

Playing catchup on #photoadayNov16 again because our little family decided to start November with a stomach virus! Or it's certain political posts/ads getting to us 😄. So, I'm combining #day2 & #day3. I'd never read this before becoming a parent, so I never realized that it's not just about the power of self-confidence, but also about the power of selfless kindness. I find it very apropos this week. #planestrainsautomobiles #inspiring

I suppose this is an obvious choice for #planestrainsautomobiles but I love Agatha Christie and this is a classic! #photoadaynov16 @RealLifeReading

A day late on #planestrainsautomobiles for #photoadaynov16! I loved this heartbreaking WWII story of friendship & flying.

MrBook This looks good 😊👍🏻. 7y
BarbaraJean @MrBook It's so good! And historical (mostly)- I'd had no idea there were female pilots in WWII, in what was called the Air Transport Auxiliary. I know now because of this book! 7y

I love the Railway Children. I think I love Nesbit the more in her non-magic kid's lit, which is odd since we found er via Edgar Eager & the awesome "Half Magic". Man we loved that one as kids!

These are fun read a loud books! My son loved these because he loves all things that go. But my daughter loved them too cuz my husband really gets into sound effects. 😂 The train one is my favorite!

I had to put off reading this one until after I took my first plane ride, so I'm excited to finally start it. #PlanesTrainsAutomobiles #PhotoADayNov16

Not exactly #planestrainsautomobiles but one of the very first books I ever bought myself was about the Titanic. That particular book is stored away, but it sparked my love of reading about history and disasters. Probably a bit macabre for a preschooler, but thankfully my parents never minded. 😉#photoadaynov16

LauraBrook This is a great book! As someone who was obsessed w the Titanic, I've got lots of books on the subject. So glad I bought it for myself the first time I saw the museum tour! 💙🚢 7y
Libby1 Come to the Titanic Museum in Belfast! It's just down the road from where I live and it is excellent. 7y
megt @LauraBrook yes! I think I grabbed it at the museum tour, too. I was probably the only elementary schooler who made some serious purchases on that field trip and not just a key chain or something. 😄 7y

megt @Libby1 I would love to visit someday! I've seen some touring museum exhibits here in the States, but I'm sure there's so much more to see and learn! 7y
Reagan My parents had a set of books about disasters through the ages that I was obsessed with as a child. I still think about some of that artwork. I turned out fine 😬 7y
megt @Rjanke I think I turned out fine, too! It's sort of a family joke now that someone should have been worried by all my darker obsessions when I was younger. 😬 7y
