I fully expected this to be terrible and it wasn't. I wound up enjoying it. The relationship building is nicely paced and sweet. It's still weird that Sakura doesn't even consider seeing a doctor when he loses more than a month if memory. Because of incel internet culture of alpha vs beta males, it was occasionally hard to take this book's premise seriously even though the two are unrelated. #LGBTQ #Manga #OfficeRomance

3.5/5⭐ I wish there was a little more plot. The previous book felt fuller somehow, the character arcs more evenly paced. However, the romance and growing found family were heartwarming as usual. If I had to guess, I'd say Carriger has the most fun writing Max. He's just such an interesting mix of immense power and snarky asshole. Her character work in general is wonderful.

A new book out by Gail Carriger in May - The 5th Gender. The use of G. L. Carriger is a sign that this is a book for adults so if you‘re a fan of the YA Finishing School series this may not be for you. If you liked Sumage Solution and the tagged book this might appeal. I‘m anticipating alien/human sexy times.

I loved this book even more than I expected to. It made me laugh, made me cry (seriously, more than once), made me want more. I can‘t wait for the next book, and the next after that, and so on. I‘m hoping this series has a long run!
