The Fight Club is one of the books that I never had a plan of reading. I saw the movie first and the desire to read the source material never developed. But a library sale happened and now it's on my physical #TBR so I'm #currentlyreading

KendallHershey I just read it a few months back and really enjoyed it! It had been a long time since I‘d seen the movie and I think that helped. 1mo
MoniqueReads305 @KendallHershey That's good to know. I saw the movie when it first came to DVD. So, it's been years. 1mo

Book #61: I have a tendency to like Russian literature a lot because, so far they have been all very easy to understand and read. This book was no exception, although it was a bit odd at times. The story is very well written and the language used is immaculate, however the plot seems to have lost meaning for me, especially around the end. It is...

(Day 21 - #FeelSoHigh)

*Everybody is feeling high at the drug- and sex-fueled parties that are circumambient in Clay‘s world; i.e., the world that Easton Ellis paints for us in his debut novel, tagged. It‘s a fairly stultifying existence: house parties at million-dollar homes featuring kids shooting heroin, having one-night-stands, and watching snuff films. It‘s the kind of exotic party that was de rigueur in the 80s, unfortunately.

Cinfhen We were just talking about this movie Friday night😁 5mo
KarenUK Great collage 👌 5mo
gradcat @Cinfhen What did you think of the movie? I remember not liking it very much, but I had read the book before, and that often taints the experience. 5mo

Pickpick

This is a very special book and not everybodys taste. I liked it the better the more I read, the more I learned about the character. Reading “Faserland“ is a journey through Germany but even more the main characters search for a home.

The main character suffers from a bad case of #wanderlust because it seems like he lost himself somewhere on the road.
