so-soOh, this book really disappointed me. There were entire sections in it that were challenging for me, where I just didn‘t enjoy reading the poems, and I struggled to get through them. That said, I laughed out loud at the short story section, and the book‘s final section was really good too. Overall, the book felt uneven, and I wished I could have taken out some of the poems I didn‘t enjoy and had more that were like the ones I loved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
from "Advice to Myself" by Louise Erdrich. I love, love, love this poem. And return to it often. Read it to the end. The last line is killer!
