Interesting. A story about the life of Loretta Young starting shortly before she meets Clark Gable. Not my genre, but a very interesting read/listen. You have to admire the woman and all that she accomplished.

So interesting, so good. All about the movies during the silver screen heyday. Loretta Young, Clark Gable, Myrna Loy, Spencer Tracy, and more! Trigiani does a great job of weaving the true story lines we know with the movie making stories we don‘t. I really enjoyed the set painting, artistic and religious elements too. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks Great on #audio #Pantone2023 #LeekGreen @Clwojick

Mehso-so

While I enjoyed many portions I found that they were all of Luca & Alda's story. Wish the whole book would have been from her POV instead of only when it was convenient for the storyline. I'm a Doris Day fan and have never seen the Call of the Wild or any other Clark Gable or Loretta Young movies to my knowledge so there was a clear disconnect from what I "should" know and what I didn't of their story.

One of my favourite audiobook this year was All the Stars in the Heavens narrated by Blair Brownshe.
Is a novel inspired by a true story. A love story between Loretta Young and Clark Gable, American actress set in Golden age of Hollywood. This book surprised me in a good way and I really liked it

A good book about Hollywood throughout the decades, a little slow in some parts and maybe I didn‘t need to know what a jerk Clark Gable could be lol but I enjoyed it. #booked2020 #setinhollywood

Reading and sweating lol #notallowedtorun #tothebicycleigo

mabell Did you have an injury?? 4y
BarkingMadRead @mabell yes, I tore my meniscus in November and that may have caused arthritis in the same knee. I did a trail race on New Year‘s Day and it made my knee really sore so now I‘m now allowed to run for two more weeks! 4y
mabell Oh yikes! From the little I know, meniscal tears are crazy - sometimes really bad, and sometimes undetectable. But a two week break doesn‘t sound too bad! Especially if you are able to get back to your regular routine. 4y
