Just a couple of suspenseful books I've read and enjoyed.

SilversReviews Nice collage. 6y
Jess7 🤗🤗 I liked Reconstructing Amelia, Girl on the Train, and The Good Girl. Have you read Holly Brown before? I liked this one by her: 6y
mrp27 @Jess7 I'm not familiar with her. I'm going to have to check her out, thanks for the recommendation! 6y

Jess7 You‘re welcome... Based on your selection of Kimberly McCreight which is a little lesser known than the others, I have some more recommendations... I‘ll put them in the comments 6y
Jess7 I read Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas and haven‘t read this one yet, but I bet it‘s good too: 6y
mrp27 Ohhh thanks!! 6y
Jess7 Holly Brown - she wrote others, but I‘ve only read this one. I couldn‘t get into Necessary lies 6y
Jess7 I love Kimberly McCreight - not just reconstructing Amelia but also this one. I still need to read The Outliers and The Scattering 6y
Jess7 This was pretty good, not my favorite but good. Calia Reed also wrote a sequel (ish) Called Unhinge. 6y
Jess7 I‘m sure you have read Megan Miranda. I liked this one better than All the Missing Girls... I havent read The Safest Lies yet, but it was my #whodunitbymail pick and everyone who read it for that, loved it. 6y
Jess7 I like all of the Mary Kubica books I have read (which is all but Every Last Lie (I still need to read it) 6y
Jess7 Highly recommend Clare Mackintosh. I loved this one... and I‘m currently reading her newest one - Let Me Lie. I still need to read I See You 6y
Jess7 This one by Kate Moretti was ok... worth reading but not my favorite: (edited) 6y
Jess7 I love Kate Morton! The writing is simply beautiful. I loved 6y
Jess7 Of course I loved all the ones by Gillian Flynn, but this was my favorite of them: 6y
mrp27 Mackintosh is on my tbr! 6y
Jess7 I like BA Paris too, I liked this one a lot: 6y
Jess7 Bump her up! She is super suspenseful! 6y
Jess7 Liane Moriarty is hit or miss for me. I loved The Husband‘s Secret and my favorite is this one... but I did not like What Alice Forgot or Truly Madly Guilty 6y
Jess7 I‘ve heard good things about this one by Liz Nugent, but haven‘t read it yet 6y
mrp27 @Jess7 I've read Morton and Flynn too, Sharp Objects is the one I haven't read yet. 6y
Jess7 This one started out ok, just haven‘t finished it yet - 6y
Jess7 sharp objects is the shortest, darkest (the main character is a cutter, but not dark with rape/torture or anything like that, which I cannot handle).. 6y
mrp27 @Jess7 I've read Morton and Flynn, Sharp Objects the only one I haven't read. So many books so little time! But I do love a good suspense. 6y
Jess7 This one is very good 6y
Jess7 This one is good too by William Landay - it explores what you would do for your children and what you wouldn‘t 6y
Jess7 True crime - I highly recommend Helter Skelter (Manson case) , The Devil‘s Knot (West Memphis three case), Waiting to be heard (Amanda Knox case), Without a Doubt (Oj Simpson)... and this classic by Truman Capote: 6y
Jess7 I read this one last year and wow!!! I loved it. I cant wait to read more by Lisa Lutz! It was very suspenseful: 6y
mrp27 @jess7 sorry for the double post a little glitch. Yes, I'm a bit of a chicken and my trigger is rape so some titles can be tricky. One of us lying is ion my tbr too and BA Paris. 6y
Jess7 Ruth Ware is hit or miss. I didn‘t like In a Dark, Dark Wood, The Lying Game was just ok, but I did like this one (even though parts of it were outlandish): 6y
Jess7 Don‘t read this one is rape is your trigger - I had to back away from reading psychological thrillers for a month after it - it‘s well written but entirely too graphic about rape/torture - it was unnecessarily graphic and that took too much away from the riveting plot line making it a pan for me: 6y
Jess7 I loved Girl on a Train by Paula Hawkins, but thought her second book was just ok— too many characters: 6y
Jess7 I loved this Amy Gentry Book. I was very impressed with this debt novel: 6y
Jess7 I also liked this Gilly Macmillan‘s Book... but I haven‘t read her other two yet. 6y
Jess7 This was just ok - mostly because the real true crime book by Amanda Knox (Waiting to Be Heard is sooooo much better and this fiction novel inspired by it, doesn‘t live up) but it was ok - 6y
Jess7 I liked this one bc it was fast paced, but parts were just so so 6y
Jess7 This one was a quick read and the main character Anna Fox drove me nuts but I did tear through it. I found it very predictable though 6y
Jess7 I‘ve heard good things about this one too 6y
Jess7 I liked this one - but it got mixed reviews. The main character is very unlikeable 6y
mrp27 I have Defending Jacob on my nook, I've heard great reviews on that one Wife Between Us is on my list and I don't do much if any at all true crime but if I had to read just one, what would you suggest? 6y
RadicalReader @mrp27 cannot wait to read Watching Edie picked it up from the library cannot wait to check it out 6y
mrp27 @RadicalReader I hope you enjoy it! 6y
