I‘m still packed in storage but I did manage to bring in some LGBTQIA+ books for Pride! Gonna try and tackle these all this month, but it might carry over into July. And I‘ve been itching to do another read of the tagged book. One of my all-time favourites! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

This was such a beautiful book. I loved Manny. He's such a great character and *everything he went through* 😭 Have you ever watched Under the Same Moon? This reminded me of that movie except way darker and traumatic. Like bro, I can't believe people are capable and willing to do these things (and yet here is 2023 proving me wrong) #gayromance #lgbtq

Tw👇🏽

coffees Tw: homelessness, SH, mentions of pedophiles, graphic murder and violence scenes, abandonment, dissociative amnesia, negative experience in foster care system, conversion "therapy", zealots, abuse/torture of minors (ie. starvation, gaslighting)/abuse of power, etc 10mo

Plot. Yes. This #book has plot but you know what else it has? Amazing characters, character interactions, and a meet-cute #romance that has me crying and giggling into my hands. OMG, this gave me so many cavities! I LOVED IT. #gayromance

Loved it! Fun quick fantasy read with a smoking hot gay romance. I loved the fire mage instantly and his bf grew on me too. #fantasyromance #gayromance

Lovers reunite after a 10 year break up when Danny returns to help take down the woman who has set Felix up. Think gay Leverage with a bigger, younger group of cons. Second chance #romansty isn‘t my favorite but the overall story and found family is great fun. 💎💎💎💎

Have you ever wished you could re-cover a book? When I was a teenager, I wished I could redo the cover of this book. I really hated this cover and thought the amulet featured in the book would have made a better cover than these poorly edited fiercely sculptured male bodies (can you see the dark lines tracing their muscles?). Granted, this isn't the best book. It desperately needed more editing for basic typos! #BadCovers #LGBTQ

PuddleJumper That is some strategic lighting 3y
Kenyazero @PuddleJumper I'm not convinced that it is/was a lighting strategy or problem 😂 (edited) 3y

I'm not a fan of Romance novels, so I almost have to rate this book as a Pick. At the beginning I really enjoyed it, but after some time I still got bored with it. I don't need to hear about someones eyebrows three times in a row... But anyway, I made it through a Romance, and therefore it must be good.

This was a saucy little M/M romance with American Desta going to Ethiopia on an aid mission. He's following in his now deceased father's footsteps but questioning his next move. He meets Elias, an Ethiopian native assisting on the aid project, and they have a connection. Both guys are in a quarter-life crisis of sorts and a homosexual relationship in a country where it's illegal adds fuel to the fires burning inside them. Enjoyable & sexy.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick This book also provides a little sense of place in Ethiopia without too much filler prose. #foodandlit @butterfinger @Texreader @Catsandbooks and another March #bookspinbingo box @TheAromaofBooks YES I'M STILL REVIEWING MARCH 😟 3y

Heartwarming romance set in Ethiopia. Deals with figuring out your purpose and finding freedom in a home that doesn't accept who you are
