pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book was just good to read.
It is light and happy, all the characters are immensely likeable, and there is so much emotional introspection from all five of the "main" people, it's just enjoyable.
There is also a focus on male friendship and found family that is rarely shown, and of true family loving each other while fundamentally, though not purposely, misunderstanding each other.
If you need a fun, happy break, I recommend this!
pickA super cute book about comedians who fake date and of course fall in love. Full of witty jokes and banter, a little predictable. A dual time line and dual POVs, but easy to follow. Meyer sounds like an absolute dream and Farley is clever and hilarious. Book #75 of 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just finished rewatching TED LASSO and it left me in the mood for MORE SPORTS. I‘ve had ON THE ICE lingering on my Kobo for ages since I wasn‘t wild about another of Amy Aislin‘s books, and I figured I might as well give it a try while I‘m in this mood. It‘s much sparklier than the other one! I do find the excessive American college talk grating, as always (and especially from non-American authors), but the character dynamics are great. Yay!
pickWhat a fun rom-com! Noah‘s friends are trying to coerce him into joining their bromance book club, telling him how it will help with his relationships. Boy, does he need help. Alexa is still dealing with a sexually abusive job and now an absentee father has turned up who needs a kidney. A bit spicy at times.
pickLoved this on #audio Friends to lovers, she buys a bus on a drunken whim and he helps fix it up. They both have challenges in their pasts and do the work for themselves and each other. And I loved his family so much! Highly recommend!

Matt is not written very realistically. But WHO CARES, it's a super cute, funny, feel good, and has a bit of spice.
I loved this so much. Best book of 2025 so far.

pickJust when I thought I couldn‘t love Bonam-Young‘s books anymore, I read this one!! This book will get you in all of the feels… you will laugh, you will cry and when you finish, you will feel grateful that this book is in the world!
I didn‘t know that Lily Tomlin was the original voice of Ms. Frizzle!!
